I had a friend of mine try to play against me with the dice I helped him rig! It was a thought experiment, he thought that 'loaded' dice had to be weighted on the inside to give the roll a significant change in the outcome I told him you only needed to shave the corners. It turned out I was right, this was the first and one of the few times he ever admitted to being wrong. Later that week he takes the same dice, tries to convince me that our experiment was flawed because the table was warped or something stupid like that and that shaving the corners did not effect the outcome of the roll. Of course he tires to pull the "I never let anyone else use my dice. You know that." when I tried to suggest that we both use the dice in question I had to laugh at him because for the months prior to that he would always borrow my dice. I was cockey and thought that if I beat him while he was cheating that it would just be that much better. He won by a single kill point, 3rd DE vs DE and I didn't own any Incubi. His DL's trounced my witches way too early in the game, and his Incubi basically owned the rest of the table.

If it's unpainted then how is it BT?
And even if it was painted nothing says that all your models must have matching paint schemes....

I was at a local tourney last weekend, and while my oppenents were all great win or lose, there were 2 tfg in the tourny, and both were horrible cheaters and famous for building lists that they downloaded from tourny champs. In this case Nob Bikerz, and Guard Leafblower with like 6 Vendettas. They each were the kind of guy who moves the front model 6 inches and then the rest end up going 8 - 10 in front of the first unit member kinda stuff, not rolling unless the oppenent wasn't looking that kinda thing and then having a fit when you called them on it. Well due to karma, they played each other second round, and were so bad that the poor tourny organisers had to send a guy to stand at the table and babysit.

It was my 3rd game when I was ten, four years ago and I played fantasy empire. I go up against this 50 year old guy with dwarves I was a noob and this guy thought he could could seize this oppurtunity to rack up a win. He did. To do this he gave all of his units "magical throwing axes" that hit on a 2+ and instantly killed my guys, they were also able to be thrown 36 inches. WOW! Needless to say I lost. Later I asked the other friendlies at the FLGS about this some played dwarves and they asked this guy about this and he just said "well ahem im late for an appointment so I better be going" priceless.

I cheated once over a decade ago, when I first started WFB. The slayer option in the dwarf book said that any number of slayers could be deamon/dragon/trollslayers or something like that, so I included a bunch of them, but didn't pay any extra for them. It was muddy written, I was 10, my english was not top notch, but I knew that it probably wasn't supposed to work like that, I just always lost against my friend, so I felt I needed a boost. I still lost though

This one guy I played first claimed I had more points than him and therefore he was allowed to have all the cover/terrain... then (he was playing necrons), he made out that 'We'll be back' worked on a 3+ immediately after the necron was killed (not at the start of the next turn), was invulnerable, and the necron stood up with the amount of wounds shown on the dice. When I questioned him, he refused to let me see the codex because it was 'his' and would give me an 'unfair advantage'.
I asked again, and he told a member of staff I was trying to steal his codex....
....Then he started trying to steal my models whenever I turned away.
...Then he started crying.
Then, finally, he ran off crying and saying he'd obviously won and I was a bad loser.
Ouch!

new one.
Because I take this land raider as a DT, it is free.
then in a very 'war of attrition' type situation, a guy was loosing by just over 400 points (literally, just lost a LR BT squad) anyway, he tried to tell me that when his army lost 25%, they all got a 4+ armour save.
When I said that that was twaddle he got mad, called me a cheater and smashed 3 of my assault marines.
Well, I was very angry with him, but the GW staff told him he had to pay for the models or be storebanned.
interesting for a 30 year old.

Never encountered such blatant cheater. Just ludicrously good rollers. Although I do declare that always claiming a particular 5 story piece of terrain and shoving your 5-man LC heavy squad into the middle of it every match is quite unsporting.

Once I met with some friends to play Necromunda, with fresh gangs (1000 points)
One had a list with 7 Delaques (1 leader, 2 heavies, 4 Gangsters). One heavy had a Plasma, another a Heavy Bolter, all his gangsters had a Bolter, Lasgun and grenades, and the leader a Lasgun, a Flamer, Chainsword and grenades...
Gave him my copy of the book and told him "Got 10 minutes to make a new legal list".

I wonder how many "cheaters" are actually those who don't fully understand the rules? (And vice versa I suppose)

I would have his ass banned from the LGS. Crap like this makes me feel uncomfortable about having a .45 in the car, because the temptation to squeeze off a few rounds at their car's gas tank would be too great.

Because there is nothing to get. Many guard lists run a lot of vehicles (especially chimeras). Many of these mechanized lists use artillery. These builds were common pretty much the day after the book was released, and they were simply called mechanized guard.
Then some guy from BoLS won 'Ard Boyz with such an army (frankly, an unoptimized list IMO, which only goes to show that lists are a far more personal thing than people admit/realize), and he called it the "Leafblower", and after winning the tournament posted some arrogant crap about how his genius ideas single-handedly broke the game.
Of course, as is the nature of the internet where the most bombastic have the most credibility, a bunch of people seized on the idea and now every damn IG list with more than a pair of chimeras gets labeled "Leafblower". Ironically enough, I've seen half a dozen people copy his list to the letter, and do absolutely terribly with it. His success could be far more easily attributed to experience (the guy plays a lot and with many different armies) and the devil's own luck (got first turn every game, no table had more than 25% terrain, no one used reserves as a defensive measure, and the melee armies obliged him by clumping up with charges against empty chimeras).

So we didnt have a scatter dice, so we drew arrows and hits on a normal dice. None of us cared, its still chance. When we rolled for initative, one player picked up the scatter dice and rolled it, which we silently allowed obviously because yo you can still see the holes in it so it easily doubles as a normal dice. When he gets the last turn (it was a 4 way ffa) he says "oops, rolled the scatter dice" and chooses a new dice. He got last initiative again, and i laughed on the inside.

I have never seen cheating like you guys have shown. The only thing i have seen is someone saying there BS or T is one highter than it really is. I work at a hobby store teaching kids how to play 40k and whenever one of the kids play me they feel the need to cheat. I gess its because im older than them but they arnt vary smart to do it because i allways catch them when they cheat and they do it all the time.
