There are multiple words for the same idea in many languages.
Quick, Rapid, Fast, Speedy, etc all represent fast movement.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

But that chart (which I've only seen on lexicanum but they cite things so I guess we'll just have to take their word on it) seems to say there are people who are souless and furthermore people who are "vortexes". Not sure how someone's soul can be less than zero though.

I don't think they're soulless. "Soulless" things (there's examples of this in Dark Heresy) are dramatically different from Blanks.
Think of it, rather, as the difference between matter and antimatter. Not a perfect analogy mind you, as there's no explosions involved and only one side feels pain. But perhaps it might help. If not, then think about the difference between a positive charge and a negative charge in electricity.

There's a misunderstanding here. Nurgle is not really about love. He is born from despair, fear and critically apathy. Of breaking down and accepting the ruin of the universe.
Nurgle is about the power that comes from the acceptance of what is. Nurgle will accept you no matter what. He will free you from death by giving you a peculiarly horrible form of damnation so that you might despair for all eternity and feed him the emotion that empowers him.
Tzeentch is of course his opposite and nemesis. The refusal to accept fate. The ambition and hope to actively change it.

Change and change until Change is our master, for nothing neither God nor mortal can hold that which has no form. Change is the constant that cannot be changed.

Ah, first army I played and read all the fluff about is Chaos and could talk about it all day BUT question was "What is the Warp?"
Something much like "Hyperspace" or "Slipstream" or "Wormhole" (kinda) other concepts mainly an other-realm or dimension.
Primary rules are that conscious and unconscious thought and strong mental power has a direct influence outside of the realm and particularly in it.
The use of this other dimension allows physical travel and communication (with no guarantees) to be mainly faster than physical travel or communication in "real space".
Some arguments that only time is effected and that physical travel distance may not be so much the deciding factor.
Starship travel hinges on the engines able to fold or gain entrance to the warp, a "Gellar" field to protect it (from the changing properties of the warp or things in the warp) and a Navigator who is a mutant with a third eye that can "see" the warp in all it's weirdness and uses the psychic beacon from Terra to help with navigating (that many psykers die in maintaining, heck of a lighthouse keeper job).
Communication hinges on a sending and receiving "astropath". Being able to make sense of a received signal, transcribe a message and come to a best estimate of relative date/time message was sent is the tricky part since "true" Terra time and someone else's relative time could be a matter better left to philosophers rather than scientists.
The more "blasphemous" uses is the ability to create form, substance or pure energy from or in the warp.
This could be energy blasts from a psyker/witch, a demon's body, entire worlds created in the warp to amuse a sufficiently powerful master.
The gathering of powerful minds, gaining their common cause (i.e bloody warriors: Khorne) or just plain worship and becoming that focus, power is given and can be used by that focus, give it form or change it.
So anyway, all that happens to those demons that are banished for a thousand years and a day is really they get sent to some backwater bus-stop in a demon realm that 500 years is about a day so that is why when they get back they are still so pissed off: their death is still fresh in their minds and they would be really angry if the one that killed them dies of old age.
Anyway, this is why all this fluff is so much fun, pretty much with all these broad strokes you can make any strangeness seem plausible.
If you read this far... go play x-box, paint, go out and dance, something, anything...

Is it correct to assume that, if the universal fighting in 40K were to suddenly stop, the Chaos Gods would become Good Gods and the Warp Daemons would become less warped (see what I did there ) and evil?

They likely wouldn't become good, but I imagine that they would lose a significant portion of their power and influence if combat and hatred didn't rule the galaxy.
The cyclical nature of war in 40k is exactly what the Chaos Gods want, I doubt they want their forces to ever 'win', because if they ran out of souls to feast on they would likely be sad.

They can't win the war. They kill a lot of people, they feast on a lot of souls but they can't win the war against the material world.
I mean only some of them could appear at a time, not all of them.

Think of it as a reflection in a mirror. What you see in the mirror is influenced by the world around it. Now imagine the mirror could do that back at the world! And so influencing it back till all you get is a twisted image of what it once was.
Its a vicious cycle. I blame the eldar .

No, they can be very emotional, just like the rest of the races, but their race is young enough to were they have not had time to have much impact on the warp.
