Why is it always racism, sexism, bigotry? Why don't people care about things that are REAL anymore, like being horribly mean to another human being?

Are you suggesting that racism, sexism and bigotry are not real phenomena, or they don't exist?
Or is it that you think that really horrible things are never done to humans on the grounds of racism, sexism and bigotry?
Or is that people of a different race, gender or creed don't count as human beings?

He's asking why is it that people are sifting through his conversation trying to find out "he said x number of racist words!" when the mere fact that he made the phone call should be enough.

The fact that he made that hateful a phone call is more important than the fact that he said ***ger in it twice.

Just adding my 2 cents that Mel Gibson is a douche. Stop watching his films (if he makes any more) they were all garbage anyway.

On a side note that recording of him talking to his wife was hilarious. I don't think the words "blow me" have ever been funnier. Seriously, if the man wants to make more money he should do stand-up comedy and just yell at the audience like he does to his wife. I think a wasted Mel Gibson on stage would attract a large audience.

I love alot of the movies the man has done, infact some are WAY up their on my fav list. But the last decade has been REAL bad for the guy. You can tell he is just falling apart. I mean, you cant find a recent picture of the guy that is flattering to him, he just seems so F'ed up anymore. I think hes on the drugs........ or hes too fanatical. Its one of those

I like Mel Gibson's movies for the most part, and don't feel the need to sit in judgement of him. He said some wacky, unpleasant things. He didn't actually hurt anyone as far as I know. He needs to just calm the hell down and and go be quiet with his giant sack of money for a while. When the media stops hassling him this will all blow over.

What I'd like to know is how someone with so much money manages to be so angry. Just STFU and sit on a beach for a while. Don't like the sand? Go somewhere else and relax until you're poor again. Rinse repeat.

When celebrities become delusional jackholes we revoke their citizenship. They are exiled to Florida and given round the clock voice training until they speak in a weird US hybrid accent. It's a formalised process and completely fair.
