Deranged Necron Destroyer

Tip: Lay off the all cap titles, its annoying.
That question was fairly unnecessary anyway, how often are his fearless units going to fall back huh?
Anyway, I've been playing against daemons a lot recently, and the main problem for daemons seems to be the coming in from deepstrike. Half your army is coming in on turn 1, which allows your opponent 1 turn to wipe out 1/2 of your army with all of his. If you're facing a list with either lots of firepower or highly cc focused, consider dropping in cover or farther out, because otherwise you will be destroyed before you can do much

I found that when i started daemons, then i used some pinks and flamers as well as my bloodletters which realy helped (when the tzeentch came in first) cause it ment i got to actualt do some damage and beacuse or there 4+ saves it ment i still had some alive for when the letters came in.

Inspiring Icon Bearer
|
I've been playing alot with the Dboyz of late. I love horrors, I use two large blocks of 15-20 with icons and bolt, and changeling. This allows some effective horde firepower as well as sheer weight of fire against terminators.
Skulltaker = win, I roll him with 10 bloodletters and if they don't get shot at then he does well.
I also run a 20 daemonette unit with a herald in it. This unit gets gets targeted early due to how well it chomps through well almost any unit.
Soulgrinders- have always earned it's points back, and looks supercool I'm painting mine now.
Flamers-Screamers have been hit of miss for me.

I think it really depends on what you're using. Each of the different demon types is rather specialized at what they do.
Play a few games, figure out what your army is lacking, what ruins its day, and then fill in that gap.
Bloodletters tear Marines up, since they all have Power Weapons.
Bloodcrushers are like souped-up Bloodletters.
Daemonettes are quicker, but they aren't as good against armor. Great at eliminating ligher-armored troops, though.
Seekers are like faster Daemonettes that do more damage.
Plaguebearers can soak up a ton of damage. Really difficult to kill, good for soaking up fire.
Horrors and Flamers are your ranged shooters (though they aren't amazing at it), and have a better save than most other things in your army.
Greater Demons and Demon Princes (and Soulgrinders) are just what they look like: big monsters that tear gak up, troops and tanks alike. And they all take on the characteristics of their patron gods; Tzeentch demons are great Psychers with shooting and special abilities, Nurgle demons are annoying to try to kill, Khorne demons slaughter everything in their path, and Slaanesh demons hit faster and more often.
Find yourself getting torn up? Maybe make your initial force that comes in first turn more Nurgle-oriented to soak up some damage before the heavy-hitters arrive.
Can't get enough attacks? Slaanesh.
Armor getting you down, or big creatures/tanks? Khorne.
Want more shooting and crazy magic? Tzeentch.
Each of the 'factions' is going to be really good at what it does, but not all that great at the other things.
The trick is to find the fight mix.
And to use your units for what they're good for. Have the Bloodletters tear into some heavily armored troops. Hunt down quick-moving things with Seekers. Want to keep something dangerous occupied while you deal with the rest of the army? Throw Plaguebearers or Nurglings or a Great Unclean One at it and watch it try to hack through it, while even doing some damage yourself. Want to take out tanks from afar? Get some Screamers or Flamers.

Same!
I prefer having a khorne army when you use daemons, sure you can't shoot when you deep strike (unless leaders have Death Strike), but the enemy needs a miracle in close combat. Bloodletters have Str 5 power weapons on the charge at I 5 so they could kill a whole squad of tactical marines before they get the chance to strike back!
If you want some shootiness in army, you can always take a soulgrinder and a pack of horrors to support the bloodletters and weaken the enemy before they attack in CC. If you also want an Anti-Tank unit if you don't want a bloodthirster, then take some screamers of Tzeentch, they could really get rid of the tanks that can harm your Khorne infantry such as Lemon Russ' and Vindicators. (They get their Inv's but it's still only 5+)
Also, all Daemons have the eternal warrior so they can't be instant deathed!
@GoDz Ki11JoY
You can't "Solid Shot" a daemon because they're immune to instant death!

If your using blood letters you MUST make use of cover other wise they're just gonna get shot up before they get a chance to do any thing. Make use of horrors they are firewarrior and gaurds mens worst nightmare and will realy help you get your letters up close and personal. Finaly a squad of 10 strong plague bearers sat in cover on an objective can realy cause the enemy some problems.
