BS 2 means that there are 2 sides of a six sided die you hit on. so you roll a 1 or a 2 and you hit.
6 always misses. so BS 6 or higher gives rerolls.
This would also prevent using weighted dice as you hit on low rolls but wound on high ones. you would have to change dice in between which would be sketchy
