In the Horus Heresy book "Legion" the only species in the Cabal that is humanoid are the Eldar. In "The Flight of the Eisenstein" the Death Guard engage and destroy the 'world-bottle' of a species with trilateral symmetry. C'tan aren't humanoid, and the Tyranids certainly aren't humanoid.

You're totally incompetent with the Necron stuff. There is no description of the C'tan's original shape prior to being squished into its Necrodermis, but it's hinted that they're amorphous. The Necrodermis itself can be any shape.

the C'tan are Gods and don't count as they are the Antithisis of the Warp.
Tyranids are a massive gestalt mind that inhabits many billions of bodies. it has its own reflection in the warp and to all intents and purposes is a God as well.
the World Bottle species weren't Hominoid, but they are an exception rather then a representitive.
Bipods(who are by extension Hominoid) are the most successful races in the galaxy ATM. Nids are from a different Galaxy, one that clearly had Hexapods as a dominant body type and Insectoid/possably Reptillian Body structures.

The C'tan aren't Gods, and they count plenty since they're simply sentient solavores with delusions of grandeur.
Now here's a simple logic lession: If you declare a rule and someone points out an exception to your rule (in fact many exceptions) then your rule is false.
Hence if all bipeds are hominids, then ostriches are more closely related to us than gibbons, because "hominid" refers to humans and proto-humans such as australopithecus and not to bipeds such as ostriches or non-hominid primates such as gibbons.
Maybe you're talking about "humanoids"...
Seriously, do you just make up your own English language and Warhammer 40,000 background as you go along?
Edit: Just to add, here's what " hominoid" means.

I was under the impression that Hominid and Humioid had the same meaning. I stand corrected, but you can't assume everyone knows and expect them to use it correctly.
The C'tan are Gods in the fluff. they have the power of creation, utter mastery of the Physical universe. How can you say they aren't gods? <---- this is in the fluff. they cast down the old ones who definitly were gods.
Most rules have exceptions. English is an example. the word Rule doesn't mean there aren't any exceptions. only when the rules itself says there are no exceptions are there none(For the rule to be true any way)
My Biped rant was in reference to the Deamon Humanoid conundrum. Most of the intellegent races in 40k are bipedal and as such most of the deamons copy them. also it was that bipedal, hominoid body builds seem to be the most successful in the 40k universe(most non Huminoid races have been extinguished by hominoids)
When i said "Bipods(Who are by extension are Hominoid)...." I should have said Humanoid. We are talking in the context of the common 40k races, all of whom, with the notable exception of the Tyranids, are Humanoid.
I hardly see how i made up any new English language or Fluff. Incorrect usage, yes. Incorrect Fluff, NO.

Also, the C'tan have very little warp presence, if any (correct me!) Ergo, they have very little influence on the warp.

They have little direct effect.
they do pose a threat to the Chaos gods as they consume souls.
when the Necrons exterminate all life for the C'tan to feed the Chaos gods inevitably lose followers and souls to play with.

Bah. I hate the Crons. A discussion is going on like this in another thread...I can't be convinced that chaos can be destroyed. It cannot. I think all of you underestimate chaos.
The galaxy of the empire means very little to the chaos gods. I'm sure they have influence in hundreds of millions of galaxies, if not all of them, which implies that they cannot possibly be destroyed. If the gods really wanted to, they could easily wipe out the insignificant Necrons in a short time.
Chaos can adapt. Necrons cannot. Chaos would find a way to beat the necrons. The necrons would be easily destroyed.

and what makes you think the Necrons aren't in a hundred million galaxies too?
IMO, Neither can destroy the other. the Necrons are utter masters of the Physical universe. the Chaos gods are the Masters of the Meta-physical universe.
Equal, but opposite.

So what if they ended up Head butting?? Would the universe explode???
/joke
Remember folks! opposites attract.
Example: Bullies and weaker kids. Guys and Girls. Immortals and Mortals, good and evil, yin and yang.... *goes on for hours*
What I'm trying to say is : No matter what, if there is something, there will be a polar opposite. Nature, as we "know it" hates a vacuum, and will try to fill the void any way possible.
Lets take the terms "good" and "evil" and let's say the Major "hero" destroys the major "villain'.
Because the "evil" "villain" is destroyed, it leaves a hole. So as a result Nature will try to create / push for something to fill the hole that was left by the removal of the "evil" "villain."
It also works the other way around.
If the "villain" were to destroy the "hero" nature would try to create / push for a new "hero" to arise and fight the "villain."
Thus, it will become the endless and never ending cycle of battle between the "forces of good" and the "forces of evil" that we are familiar with.
Same idea, just enter different things in the " " .
DAMN TYPOS!

Um, Tyranids?
Most! Most, I say! Not all.
Anyway, are Tyranids mortals... do the individual creatures even count as alive, come to think of it?
The jury's out on that one!
On the issue of sentience, that's a strange one to be sure. I suppose it boils down to: "I'm here. I know I'm here. I'm aware." Therefore sentient!
Ohh, one other thing. Just got this months White Dwarf... awesome apart from the new horrors which I think are horrible. IMHO they look like anaemic, badly converted crosses between Orks and Genestealers. In a horrible salmon pink.
Eww.

Fair enough, on both points.
And self-awareness does not necessarily equal sentience. Do they often show up in the same place? Yes. But as any statistician will tell you, correlation does not imply causation.
And regarding the Horrors, yes, I agree. I've still purchased a unit of them, but I think I'm gonna go wild with the GS when I get them. They look silly, and not mind-breakingly confusing like the previous ones. I aim to fix that. How, you ask? Tentacles in places where tentacles have no right to be.

Yes, I suppose sentience does imply a certain amount of intelligence as well as just being able to percieve the world, it'd be interesting if there were an actual formal limit where conciousness became sentience.
And yes, epic over-tenticulation seems the best route to go with the horrors!

Problem is, we don't understand enough about the biological brain to establish such a limit yet. At least, not a limit that's agreed upon by the scientific community at large.
And I'm really super tempted to make up some kind of conversion involving Japanese schoolgirls, but that would just be in bad taste. My sense of decency would stop me before I could begin that kind of conversion. Or at least paint it.
Or maybe right before I field it.

That's probably going to be a lot classier than if I were to ever take the Slaanesh "Mount" (for a Chaos Lord) in an action context and not a thing context. Because the codex isn't really clear on exactly what it looks like.
But is it really worth it to make something that you would never have the heart to field?

That's another thing though, I'd have to model and paint it in an isolated cave far from any family members. And the only person who could help me is my fiance, if he was even willing to. I like input, which I can't get if I can't show the model to anyone.
Though perhaps being created in a dark cave and never being seen by regular human eyes is the proper origin for a demon.

I personally think the bloodletters look quite good the way they are.
They have a more alien look then old fantasy goat look.
And that makes more sence to me being that they are from the warp then a mutant goat.
