Everyone? Not everyone. The author also likes the 9 Kopta's so the most important person in the discussion is on my side. Bad Sheep also says he has had no luck running them in single squads of 1 and would prefer squads of 3. Don't try and change a persons list to suit yourt own style. Let them play what they would like and make side changes, not wholesale changes. 9 Koptas work amazingly well especially over 3 units of 1. This is not a democracy. I can find 5 guys to say Vanguard Vets should be in every marine list, but that doesn't make it so.

Here is the bottom line. I have seen 3 squads of 3 Kopters turn the tide against many top tier army lists and players. I encourage you to keep playing your idea and only make small changes to your list. Keep the Kans and keep the Kopters, play around with the rest. Claypool says otherwise and he claims he has 4 other people from the thread to agree with him. I only have myself and my Adepticon Gladiator trophy, Adepticon Team trophy, my 3 other top 5 finishes in the Team event and my 2 Ard Boyz top 10 finishes. Yea for Democracy.

So because you've got trophies does that mean your advice is better than ours? Or perhaps some of us don't want to waste £50 going to a tournament?

3 Deffkopters fire at the same target and can still do the same job as a single Kopter. They hunt vehicles mostly and one is often enough to get the job done.

I agree that 9 Koptas work well, I believe it. HOWEVER, the fact remains that he is lacking a critical part of any competitive Ork list: Boyz. 60 Boyz is not enough for a 1500pt Kan Wall. 9 Koptas could be great, but not at the expense of 30 boyz.

I only brought up tournament accomplishments because I was told me advice was bunk because it was 4-1 against me in this thread.

Another thing is that i actually use tactics with orks, for some odd reason it actually works...thats why i only have 60 boyz and swarm with koptas

That sounds like a shot to all who have suggested a different army build. Why post a list and ask what others think and then dismiss nad insult those who don't agree with it.

You have every right to build your list however you want and ifit works for your - great. You might enjoy taking 3 squads of 15 Tankbustas on foot and it will work for you. It all depends on your playing style and competition. In my area we have some great players, poor lists will not do well. In my experience, putting lots of points into a unit that will have to make a LD7 check after loosing one model is not a good idea. But again, if it works for you in your area enjoy it. I like the idea of koptas, like I like the idea of Tankbustas and regular bikers, and Flash gitz - its just that after playing with them against good opponents and watching other good players tyr to use them well, it has become abundenty clear they are not optimal choices.

What others and I have tried to show you is that boys win - koptas are at best a 1 trick pony. If you don't like the advice, instead of taking a shot at others - try this. "Thanks for you opinions. I have found that large squads of koptas work for me and I'm going to stick with them." To insinuate that other ideas means a lack of tactics is rude.

How rude is it to say if you don't play my way that must mean the people you play are no good. Is that the only way his original list can win? It sounds like your saying his list is no good and if he wins his opponents must be bad. That has to be the rudest comment that can come out of the internet and one that I have seen many times leveled against good players who win and have their list published.
