I couldn't agree more. Don't get me wrong, I love the way da boys look, but it is a giant pain in the arse trying to get all the little gubbins painted.

I also don't understand the little bit of tubes/wires/stuff in the cargo bay of the battlewagon. There's a grate that goes over top of it and you can barely see them after you put the grate on. Not to mention, if you give it a 'ard case then it's never seen.

Terminator inner thights. Greenstuffing them is a pain when you're converting them to truescale marines.

There's no such thing as unnecessary detail. If you don't think it will be seen, don't paint it. That doesn't mean it shouldn't be there.

I've painted up a Land Raider and a few Tau tanks and they were way more fun to paint than my Eldar Falcon mostly because of how horribly undetailed the Falcon interior is in comparison.

But they are evil, and do it to annoy, Bro Zach!
You could always convert them and cut off the spikes.
Born again Space Marines.

Think about never to be seen detailing is, you know it is there!

Lack of detail is worse imho. The Skull Pass Dwarves, being born of single piece moulds, have pieces of blank plastic that prevent undercuts, but looks naff!!

Can I win by saying my thunderhawk? Seriously. Details on the ceiling of a room you cant even see. But I still feel like I have to paint it, since I did by a friggin Thunderhawk. Oh, and just the general cockpit area. HOW MANY BUTTONS DO YOU GORAM NEED!?!?!

Look
cockpits need detailing, they just do. There is nothing worse than an an empty office.
How's he expected to fly the bird if there aren't any buttons to push

Most of those buttons are for the coffee machine, which is the most important piece of kit for any self respecting pilot

Misery. Missouri. Who can tell the difference.

Common people, you all are forgetting the most obvious example: The super cod piece on the Empire State Troops. They all are packing like Dirk Diggler that is the largest balled up sox in there.
