Yes it is. The problem is paying for it (also, this is summer, I'm between semesters anyway and I couldn't find a summer job like I wanted to).

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

For my guard I use the perry miniatures British Line Infantry army deal, go to their site, look at Napoleonic army deals, click on the British Brigade deals and you can get 160 models for 75 pounds. For command squads i use Renegade Miniatures British Infantry Kneel Fire & Stand Fire models found here http://renegademiniatures.com/regnap.htm as they come with 20 miniatures and 4 models you can use for a command squad.

I guess it depends how cheap you are willing to go, and how much work you are willing to put in...

You can't get any cheaper than toy soldiers, they are a dime a dozen. Unfortunately they don't seem to come in heroic scale, but with a bit of patience...

You could also try your hand at casting your own miniatures, which would probably be more economical in the long run than buying GW.

A painless alternative would be to add ammonia to bleach in a confined space listening to sad songs and reading a C.S. Goto novel.

They'd make some pretty awesome IG Veterans or Stormtroopers - or even just basic infantry.

The ones on the bottom aren't quite gritty enough, but the ones second to the bottom look real nice.

Warzone Imperial Trenchers. Have no other link, sorry.

I once saw an whole IG army (3rd Edition) made out of them.
