I prefer the Redeemer. The LR is a termie delivery system. It doesn't matter what the weapons are. Otherwise the Redeemer is a better threat. The Flamestorm cannons put fear into MEQ's. GEQ's almost all have 4+ cover saves, especially Orks who never seem to leave home without it. In that regard the Crusaders Hurricane Bolters don't threaten Orks like the Flamestorm cannons will. The Two LR's are close in ability, but I lean towards the Redeemer.

This makes the redeemer an EXTREMELY expensive way to do, at best, a heavy flamer attack a turn.

Think your forgetting POTMS here. It can fire both at combat speed.

How?

The weapons are on two sides of an enormous vehicle. You'd have to have a HUGE squad arrayed in front of the vehicle, highly bunched together, at just the right time in order to be able to fire both at the same unit.

Now, if the two different flamers could target two different squads, this would be a different story, but they can't, so I really don't ever see using both really ever, much less effectively.

that's a tough call. Best thing is to build them both using magnets, like labmouse said. failing that it depends on what you want your tank to do. the crusader is a better delivery mechanism for the terminators but the redeemer has the better gun. All things considered I'd go for the crusader.... if you have to choose. whatever you do dont make the standard land raider. ever since the variants came out there's been a sharp decline in their use, and with good reason.

I agree. I've been using a redeemer for a while. If I get to shoot the flame storm cannon once I'm happy. If I get to do it twice I'm wrecking face. But both at the same target? almost never. a/w the two flamers can target two different squads. power of the machine spirit.

Epic Fail

the guy in the post above you gave you the reason, but it is worth reiterating.
