Kapitan Vlasov, Commander of 9th Co., 41st Grenadiers. He needs some tidying up and basing still, but you'll get the idea I have for him

Bodyguard no. 1, still WIP. I'm naming him Sergej. The second bodyguard will be named Boris. I'll post a proper pic of him as soon as I get one.

My WIP medic, and i know, the head looks fething bad. I'm going to change it. His arm's a tehcmarine arm, I couldn't get the narthencium

I like those miniatyres, although paintjob isn't the best, but works on table.

Personally I don't like using scheme of Soviet Union, but I have to admid that they have good colour chooses.

And, I'd like to say that although I chose soviet theme for this army, that does NOT represent my political viewpoints. I know the bad things they've done.
I'll tell you now how I chose this theme. After reading Tuntematon Sotilas (a war story by Väinö Linna, "Unknown Soldier" in english, one of most popular finnish books of all time) and George Steins book "Waffen-SS" I first started to plan IG with finnish Waffen-SS volunteers as theme.
Then I made couple of searches, and decided that it was a bad idea, and I don't want to get labeled as TFG for making (another) nazi army . So I chose soviets for they had striking symbols and colour schemes and I haven't noticed anyone who has made "red" army as theme to be labeled as TFG. When I chose this theme, I asked my grandfather whose father had lost his arm in 1944 fighting against russians that if it would offend him, and he said no. I hope that I have now made it clear that I keep my political viewpoints out of my armies. After all, these ain't commies. They are Imperialists

mm they look nice, especially the bodyguard unit with the helmet, good work!

I like the colour of the plasma-gun´s barrel. It isn´t a usual scheme and looks fitting for a weapon as rare as a plasma weapon.

The tattoos turned out really well IMHO.

Medic: The head is fine. It looks a bit grotesque, but thats cool! Imagine him bowing over you and saying :it must come off.....
Maybe put a needle to the auspex you use as a narthecium.

Thanks for the input, and yeah, I think that I'll paint the medic head first and decide then. Some scout heads look pretty good IMO, so maybe this one does too with a lick of paint in it. I'm probably going to paint him pretty pale, and some gloss varnish to make it look sweaty (if I can find the damn varnish bottle) After all, he's a medic and he has free access to heavy duty pain-killers and other nasty drugs

Haven't managed to do much lately... But still, I had this crazy idea about running these russian riot control officers (OMON, was their name, IIRC) as battle sisters So I searched da webway and found that the assault group makes those sweet russian helmet visors. Attach them to a slightly modified cadian head, and we'll have something like this:

And as the weapons, I use AK's to represent autoguns, so as bolters, I have planned using this:

If I can't get these, I'll use standard bolters. If anyone knows where to get bullpup weapons for 28mm heroic, please tell me

The idea about riot police came to me when I saw a trailer of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. They look cool and in my regiment fluff their homeworld is currently suffering from chaotic invasion, so even soviet riot police is forced to do something good
So, what you think? Is the idea go-go or no-no?

I reckon you could work it in, the question is as what?
Maybe some really clever little modelling bits and run them as count-as Ogryns? They're pretty insane in CQB
