^ What he said. We know it's a 12" diameter. We never said the word "diameter."

Exactly.

Leigen said 6" diameter. You said 6" circle in one post and then talked about diameter in the next. Even if you meant radius it's still not 6".

Sure it is. See, you're thinking circle, which is incorrect. Measured from the base, the KFF is not a circle, it's an annulus... with an outer radius of 7" and an inner radius of 1". The actual distance you're measuring is R - r, or 7 - 1, which is 6".

We need a picture, of how it should look when measuring.

Pretty straightforward.

Edge of the base to edge of the base. 6".

Okay but does that mean... excuse the attachment but thats a KFF diagram

This is the KFF's area of effect, six inches from the edge of the base. I'm not sure if that's what your diagram was trying to say (if it was it would have been much clearer if it had been at least approximately to scale)

Because having a diagram being actual size would make a difference?

It's the same thing as that diagram but a smaller size.

Well that diagram clears things up, and lets me know I was doing it right the whole time.

Thanks.

Being actual size is irrelevant, having the elements within the diagram be roughly in scale to each other is pretty important if you want people to get your point.

When a distance you've put 6" next to is half the size of a 40mm base it's a bit contradictory. Not to mention that you had two red lines, one including the base and one not both marked 6"?

It represented two lines... however I realized I messed up I meant to put it on the middle of the base.

So that is all my fault on that one.

Still not a 6" circle is it? And at least one person reading it thought TS meant 6" diameter because he actually posted that.

This isn't geometry. We already cleared this up, thanks Scott you're diagram was all I needed to see.

So what are your plans for this marker? A 14" base extension is going to be a pain around terrain and the salad bowl could be tough to get exactly centred.

Well I thought maybe like some type of rod I can attach to the base, which then could hold a dome or circle shaped thing to display KFF.
