Can work , but play around with it alittle first or else it might look alittle pink.

My two cents:
1. The banner doesn't contrast very well with the rest of the model. I would paint the background black to bring out the imperial eagle and scroll.

2. Try highlighting the red border around the banner as well.

Hmm, maybe if you mix skull white and bronzed flesh. Next time you buy paints, I strongly suggest bleached bone. Its one of my favorites.

If I may point out the best possible thing you can do to improve your painting is practice and buy more paint, your painting style is good neat and smooth, the best advice i could ever give you would be practice on some squads for a while maybe a battleforce or something and extend your pallette by buying more paints and washes,

A simple range to start with could be sudgested by people with more experience than I but deffinatly include a set of washes.
May we (alright I) enquire why your never going back there ever again? is this a local hobby store, your local GW store or ???

It's some bs self-proclaimed store, with absolutely NO stock, and the guys selling stuff are on weed.

What i currently need is gryphone sepya, baal red, (insert all other washes names here), bleached bone, some grey, enchanted blue (preffered to ultramarines), and a command squad.

There's a noticeable improvement in those Before & After! The way to definitively improve your Painting, from hereonin, is to remember all of the Comments and Criticisms you've been given. In fact, I decided on a method for myself; I intend to write down every Comment and Criticism, in a List, as well as what Miniature they were for. Then, before I go looking for Comments on a new Model, I'll look down the List, and see if any of the previous Criticisms apply to that Model. Then, I'll fix them. This way, I'm visibly making less mistakes, and adjusting my Painting based on previous advice, which everybody likes to see.

Feel free to do the same.

Would you mind telling me what's messy (not knowing means not fixing)?
