145 pts for a big meat shield that though it can put a hurt out, is still a meat shield? I'd rather get 3 more rhinos.

Shouldn't you already have the rhinos...hence you have no choice for more rhinos..

vindicators are dirt cheap for what you get.


those of you who don't like them likely run them singly.

1 Vindicator dies.

2 Vidicators are effective.

I only run one, and I love it.

Then again I don't park it in the middle of the field and say "IZ GONNA GIT U WITH MAH VINDIACTOR HURRRRR". If I have somewhere around 100 points to fill I'll make room for a Vindicator. They're really nice against Thunderwolf Cavalry, Nobs and Terminators, particularly with Null Zone. Just keep it in cover until you need to either blaze forward or your enemy is close enough to you for killing with it.

Well first of all they both have the front armor 13.

Second of all why in the world do you think that the Predator can outshoot the Vindicator?

Dakka Pred: 2 Shots S7 and 6 Shots S5
Tank Hunter Pred: 2 Shots S7 and 2 Shots S9

Vindicator: A BS4 (So, its quite accurate) Big Blast at S10 and AP2. It clears anything but TH/SS Termies. It also takes out tanks well (S10 roll two, pick highest, oh yea!)

Vindicator all the way. If you need Dakka, take a Baal Pred. Much Much better choice. If you need tank hunting, just stock up on lascannon\TLPlasmagun razorbacks for all your troops choices.

One last tip though, never run just one. When you run:

One: Your opponent thinks "so what? its just one, ill take care of it really quick." And he will kill it

Two: Your opponents thinks "damn, if I kill one there's still one more there, and I dont acomplish as much" and so he does not focus fire on your vindicators.

Three: Your opponent thinks "HOLY CRAP!" and either shoots at nothing but the Vindicators, but still doesnt do enough to them while ignoring the rest of your army, or ignores them completely and tries to wipe your troops choices, so your vindicators pound on him all game.

Personnaly, I run 3 In my Blood angels list along side 3 Baal Preds with Autocannon/HB Sponsons and 4 Las/Plas Razorbacks. Then one TL HF razorback (not enough points to bring it up to a las/plas...) and 2 Libbys with Shield and Fear.

According to my expierence I see vidicator as deffensive tank.It is the best option for counter attack style armies.
I use them to control objectives which are in midfield or at my base.You just place your vindicator in good cover and make sure that there will be no cover for your oponents to use and when you oponent is close you will destroy him with one powerful blow.
