Right behind you. No, really.

looks much better. much more well rounded army that still has the pounding power. the one thing i would do would be make those boys sluggachoppa, because if you move more than 6 inches with the wagons they can't shoot out of it.

Well with shoota boyz you have the option of not getting out and shooting!
lol I am sure you are sick of hearing me say it but RED PAINT! Most other CC armies can do CC a little better than orks so its very important to get some shots into them before you assault, red paint will let you move 7 and shoot leaving your opponent needing 6's to even touch you.

I see no problems with this list.

This is incorrect. RPJ allows you to move a distance X" and count as moving (X-1)". You can't move at cruising speed, claim you moved at combat and shoot, and then claim you actually moved cruising the whole time.

That's the same case with sluggas which have a 12" range, shootas are superior

As Claypool has said, this isn't correct. You move 7" but count as moving at combat speed so enemies still need 4+ to hit.

The list looks good! Normally I would say to take boarding planks as a back up to the rolla but I am starting to think that's a little to redundant. All your points are spent well and I cant see any unit that's really lacking other than the small nob units but wound allocation can go a long way. Have fun and I hope to never see 5 battlewagons at the other end of the table.

Tried this list a few hours ago, did well scoring draw first game but i would have won as game ended turn 5 due to rolling a 2, death guard player had 3 units left.

Second game I tabled the death guard by turn 5 in kill points game.

Bat reps tomorrow, I doughty changed the list by dropping out a single rolla and adding rokkits to 4 wagons, this didn't work. Only other problem is the 5 man nob unit, needs a 6 one pref with a klaw but looks like I can only drop 2 rollas and have 10 points spare to make that nob unique.

Yeah I enjoyed both man, good gaming. I probably would have finish you off turn 6 too if there had been one

List wise now looking at this:

Orks 'Ead Manglers Lads 2,000 points

HQ

1 x Warboss power klaw, attack squig & cybork body
1 x Big Mek burna, kustom force field & cybork body

Elite

5 x Lootas
5 x Lootas
5 x Nobz w/ Battlewagon power klaw, 3 x big choppas, waaagh! Banner, bosspole, cybork bodies & Painboy - Wagon w/ big shoota

Troops

6 x Nobz w/ Battlewagon power klaw, 4 x big choppas, waaagh! Banner, bosspole, 'eavy armour cybork bodies & Painboy - Wagon w/ big shoota & boarding plank
20 x Shoota Boyz Nob w/ power klaw & boss pole
20 x Shoota Boyz Nob w/ power klaw & boss pole
20 x Shoota Boyz Nob w/ power klaw & boss pole

Fast Attack

1 x Deffcopter 1 x twin-linked rokkits & 1 x buzzsaw
1 x Deffcopter 1 x twin-linked rokkits & 1 x buzzsaw

Heavy Support

1 x Battlewagon big shoota & deffrolla
1 x Battlewagon big shoota & deffrolla
1 x Battlewagon big shoota & deffrolla

Total: 2,000

So rokkits on Battlewagons are naff, don't work with deffrollas either.

Deffrollas I've got some new found love for, perhaps before I had bad luck and took only one? Anyway I took four, which worked ok, but I can only have three because...

The 5 man Nobz unit takes a pounding, they did ok but that extra 6th model would be better. Now added a Nob with big choppa and 'eavy armour.

The other Wagons without rollas I've added boarding planks so at least the Orks don't have to get out to attack. Though I'd had to drop a big choppa from the elite Nobz unit to get that, but that shouldn't matter with that beefy unit.

Lootas work ok in units of 5, I take it all back! . As long as they stop the tank from shooting then they work; which is what they have done many times.

Deffkopters are fine with two for alpha strike and support. I'm keeping these, so no Warbuggies for me.

They work both way! 5 or 15 a 5 man unit is easy to get into to cover and is not #1 on the hit list. Also if you only have 1 units of them your opponent can just tie then up in CC.

I have been know to use both a 5 man squad of Lootas or a 15 man squad of lootas and both have there place. In a mech list the 5 man works becuase you have a bunch of BIG threats coming at your opponent so they usualy do not waste shots at your Lootas and your goal is mostly to shake and stun your oppoents transports. But in a Kan Wall or Green tide list the larger squads preform better becuase of the first couple turns your moving across the board which puts your Lootas higher on the threat meter.

Trust me guys, I know that Lootas work in 5 or 15. I've been telling mercer that for some time now and he's just now coming around and I"m yanking his chain, no homo, for it.
