You don't have to score if the enemy is burnt to a crisp.

lol fair enough.

The Big Meks make the dreds count as a troop choice. Only 2 troop choices in that army, it is a risk. Win or lose though, your orks are eating BBQ!

Love the theme man and can be very scary for infanty heavy armies, Mechanized armies might give you some trouble, but i think this would crush Nidzilla armies with all those crazy PW swings.
Looted Wagons arent worth thier cheap points cost, if your going to use them do it for the lulz, not competition. Nobs with PK's tend to be the most reliable ork anti vehicle imo, so trukks with boarding planks can do some shocking things.

I would just want to inform you that i got really good advice on orks, that being that an ork army can do anything better than any other army BUT they can only do it one at a time. Orks can drop more templates than IG, they can outshoot a Tau gunline and they sure as can out melee you but only if they are built for that specific purpose. Thats why i like this burna idea so much too, if your going to be orks, pick a area of expertiese and take it as FAR as you can go.

because..uhhh..WAAAGH!

Just in case the previous post didn't make it clear, vehicles cannot claim objectives under any circumstances - not even vehicles that are taken as troops.

@ Stompy Dakka

Yeh anything can contest so you can prevent your opponent from getting ANY objectives but you won't either. So you will only draw in most cases i'm afraid.

@ NeedsMoreDakka

Thanks for the compliements, it is really a good idea for anyone, pick a unit in the codex and just see how much you can revolve the army around that unit, because if it taken to extremes it wil totally domoinate one area of play.

Full on Dakka Ork armies are hilariously effective, trukks or even battlewagons FILLED with Lootaz in one round can unload about the same amount of ammo that was used during the entire course of WW2. funny, funny stuff

meh i prefer the first list better for sheer amount of burny greatness that (on paper) could actually be suprisingly deadly, i think this list would be better off just going full mechanized. Thats just imo though. I also dont knwo how i feel about wartrakks but looted wagons tend to be a waste in points

yeah I know you all don't seem to like looted wagons but the original poster seemed to like it. I actually run a looted wagon with a boom gun in my army. I don't have a lot of vehicles and my friends play pretty much all infantry armies so a large blast template in a squad of guardsmen is useful.

I would actually just use the flamer template against everything instead of the cutting torch, as you will actually do more damage that way, as long as you get a fair number of hits, believe it or not. I'm not sure whether or nor burnas have sluggas, or if the sluggas are compatible with the torch, but either way, on average, the template does better. (particularly if the burnas have to slugga/ not slugga compatible.)

That isn't quite true.

Vehicles can, when given a specific exception to the general rules, be made scoring.

It certainly doesn't happen often (I know of only one case) and it certainly isn't the case with Deff Dreads.

Ravenwing Landspeeders taken in Ravenwing Assault Squadrons are scoring.

I am at work and don't have my Codex Dark Angels at hand, so I cannot quote the page. Sorry.
