I don't see that many transports where I play. Maybe the best idea would be something similar to 4th ed. where rhinos cost 115 points, not 35. This way you can't take so many of them (as you suggest).

Aye but then no one would take them and they would be the next carnifex!

What about 4th ed? I'll admit that I only played games with my friends, and we were all limited in $$$.

Ah yes, Ordanance table penetrating 5, the flying tanks of doom. Really funny seeing a monolith get thrown around from a random vindicator scattered blast.

Some sort of balance would be nice. Otherwise just rule tweaks like jump troops not being able to be surrounded. I would like to see more emphasis on troops and light vehicles as well as being able to play mass tank battles (which its kinda coming to)

I'd love to see rule changes for vehicles that deep strike on top of enemy troops not mishapping-count it as a tank shock that they can death or glory against. Seems like semi-common sense, no? After all: "Sarge, we're about to land our flying land raider on that enemy unit over there!" "Crap, evasive maneuvers-don't land on them!" Land raider explodes and everyone inside is vaporized because it landed on a stormtrooper who just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Also, I'd love to see if they finally say "yes, a meltabomb COUNTS AS A MELTAWEAPON!!" or "no it doesn't count as a meltaweapon-just the name is commonly shared"

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Timetowaste: a meltabomb is a melta Weapon; it gets exactly the Same rule as any other Melta weapon: 2D6 for armor Penetration rolls.

Not all melta weapons/Powers are AP1; the Warphead/weirdboy's Zzap power is Melta but AP2(and a Higher Str).

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

True Line of Sight that is actually True Line of Sight.

Tank rules that don't suck (but then again tanks haven't been any fun in 40K since 2nd Ed, so that'll never happen).

Not rolling scatter for blast markers.

No sweeping advances that wipe out entire units and make entire armies redundant and unworkable (hello Failcrons!).

No more fething Kill Points.

I would also say the codex's that haven't had updates in a long time need worked on before a new core rule book gets put out. Then once they're all updated it would be more suitable to overhaul the main rulebook. 2 years is too soon.
