I am a notoriously SLOW painter, but I should be able to manage 500 points of each by then.

Of course, I'll probably try to get a full 40K army ready for then too, "just in case"!

I'll most likely build a 40k force for the mini-campaign. Not the best painter ever, but I do what I can.

Yeah, I think I might go ahead and pick up some LM models to make my little force from. Went ahead and came up with an idea for it last night before bed, so just need to get the models and get to painting/building. And I HAVE to make sure to get myself motivated to paint to avoid making my LM suffer the same fate as my orks! (Fully built and playable, about... maybe 5% painted?)

Is there another monster that can be jammed into 500 points? I think steg might be the only one because it's a special slot so has 250 points available, whilst most other monsters are rares / heroes so jammed into 150 ...

Yes, I think it'd be the special stegadon he's thinking of counting it as. Besdies, only one monster on the table anyway (in the rules) just in case someone, somewhere figures out how to fit in several . Wouldn't really be in the spirit of the campaign, though!

Still mulling my options, I'd like to do something really off-the-wall for this! And different from my other armies (trees, and starting trolls)

Will also be posting the rules in the fantasy section to get more feedback . Already saw one thing that needs fixing- VPs should be calculated for each model lost, instead of whole units... otherwise, we might get some 0-0 games!

Can I suggest adding some other events? Like a Dark Heresy game. I have been wanting to throw down with Alpharius since forever! And how about BFG? I could put together a BFG force by January if other people were up for it.

I think the idea is that if there's something that you think would be fun to do and you can wrangle up the people for it, just suggest it!

Plan it, and they will come!

There's 20+ tables in the bunker, and 8 in the store. Lots of room for lots of games.

Updated the post to include the full weekend for event planning.

Friday as it stands will likely be an open night of gaming, meet and greet, and set up for Saturday.

Saturday will host most of the currently planned events.

Sunday will likely see a tournament of some sort, still waiting on 100% confirmation on this though.

I've been rather busy with classes so I haven't had much time to settle in with anything and solidify things further, but overall Saturday is going to be nice and full.

If you have an idea for a game you'd like to play, post! There is also likely to be a lot of open gaming going on, so bring what you want! Space Hulk, BFG, Mordheim, Hordes, Warmachine, Epic, whatever you want!! If you can bring two forces for any given game, as I'm sure if no one else has an army, they'd be more than happy to learn a new game!

That might be a cool idea, game demos!

Any info on deadlines for registry or who we should send money to?

The $5 per event is, I believe, something to be done via cash in-person to go towards the raffle / any prizes / etc.

Well, I've already cleared this with the missus. So it looks like we'll be booking a hotel soon. I'm anxious to meet people!

Once I have our accommodation worked out for sure, I'll also commit to running a session of one of the FFG games. Could people please post their preferences between DH, RT, and DW?

Also, how many people coming have or are willing to commit to putting together a smallish BFG fleet?

I'd say 1000 or less, but I'd like to focus on the big ships. I can't get excited about painting the tiny stuff.

I could see getting a BB team together if people were sure they wanted to do it. I've never touched the game before, however, 360 aside.

It'd be good to know if anyone coming has ever played either BFG or BB (to reiterate, I've played neither) so we could get some solid advice.

I'm definitely building a Space Wolves party for the 40k mini-campaign. Hopefully by Halloween I'll have a better idea about the full on tourney. Whats the policy on bringing non-members? Cause I have 2 friends begging me to bring them...

We'll likely start a sign ups thread and have names on hand for the event with a waitlist for any events that fill up. Considering how much is going to be going on with various game demos/open gaming/what have yous, I doubt there will be a down moment for anyone who just shows up with no plans! Bring what you have and throw down

I've played that game before...Never done it with shots though.

If there is going to be board games involved I'll have to get everyone playing my version of drunken dominion. Pretty much anytime you buy a Provinance you take a shot.

Mrs Wehrkind won't be in attendance most likely, though that might be good for all of you: She plays a mean hand of Dominion and Chaos in the Old World, and by "mean" I mean she is likely to shiv you.

I played a game of my version of dominon with a friend once, he ended up passing out before we finished. That meens i win.
