If anyone's up for it, I'll likely be down for most of the day on Friday with my Fantasy stuff - I'd love to get in some small games with folks. I'll most likely have my Orks with me on Friday as well, but I'm not entirely sure.

I'd be willing to throw down a game (2000-2500pts works for me) on Friday, Disco .

Heh, if I had anywhere near that amount of points I'd be glad to, but sadly I'm limited to only 500 points atm - I don't have a huge amount of Fantasy stuff yet. I DO have around 1500-1750 points of 40K Orks, though!

I'm a little late to the game, just noticed this thread today. I've been to this mall before (awhile back) and I thought for sure that the store was pretty small, or am I mistaken?

It seems like there will be a decent turn out so I just want to make sure there will be some breathing room lol.

I am thinking about bringing my Ogres along for a 2K - 2500 pt game. Dave and I should get up there by 11. Anyone up for a game?

Given that I'm only taking part in the morning's WFB Warband Campaign, I'd be down for a game in the afternoon. .

Though admittedly, my High Elves are probably still reeling a bit from being butchered by Ogres in 7th Edition. Heh.

There's a "bunker" in the mall as well, with plenty of space. Mike is even able to put tables in the courtyard space in front of the bunker when needed, but I think we will be fine with just the ones in the store.

So, definitely enough space!!

I'll be looking for fantasy pick-up games once the warbands are done, too, although warbands could go as late as 2:00 (that is the Absolute latest they will run, though!) if we take 1 hour per round. I imagine we can do less, though (that hour is counting time between game and everything, total time).

Cool, I will bring along the army and we can try and get a game in.

Oo, just so you all know I am waiting till friday morning to see what happens with the weather as they are saying it's another storm just as bad as the one we just had here in Mass. If it is then I won't risk the 5 1/2 hour drive. Right now I am praying that the weathermen are wrong on this one.

It's a shorter drive for me, so I'm pretty much coming rain, snow, sleet, or hail! I'd also heard the store would pass thru earlier thurs/fri, and hopefully be well clear of Philly by fri evening / sat morning.

Seems the NYC -> Philly drive won't be so bad. Guess it's the NYC->Boston stretch that's supposed to be getting it worse.

Which is the stretch I will be making hence my concern.

I've been watching the weather like a hawk and it looks like the Albany -> PA run will have some snow into the early afternoon Friday but clear (if cold as balls) after that. I'm praying to whatever dark gods I have the ears of that it doesn't get any worse or I'll have to bail and play in the two local tournaments this weekend

Plus side for Salvage and I, most of our driving will be on the turnpike, so as long as he can survive to my door the Immolator can power down on reasonably cleared roads.

Boo, they're calling for 3-5" of snow around NYC by tomorrow afternoon.

Hrm. Only 2.5 hours away, though, and I _do_ have hotel reservations....I might just suck it up and just drive a bit slower/carefully.


Edit: Weather.com seems to think it'll only be 1" in NYC with ~1" in Philly....hopefully weather.com's more accurate.

I have a hotel res too, but saddly 5 1/2 makes snow/rain a dangerous drive. The mass pike alone is dangerous_.

Admirable as the sentiment might be, please bear in mind what is and isn't acceptable language on the site when posting pictures please. Thanks.

I don't think there are enough Dakkites to storm the beaches at Normandy, let alone in the NE USA I drove to Cold Wars 3 years ago in that blizzard, but even I questioned the wisdom there after nearly losing it on the off ramp.

So be careful people, but keep in mind that this will now be the third storm this year, so the snow crews will be warmed up and there is still salt on the road, etc. It should be bad, but I would leave early before the storm if possible. Hell, if you crash in Allentown (for the night or otherwise) we can grab dinner together Friday then make the trek to Media the next day

Exactly! Maybe if the weather's too tough on Friday some people can wait it out and still head up on Saturday (and so not lose out on both of your hotel night reservations).

Hope you can make it, Salvage/EmpChild!! Jin, I'm assuming you're coming . Also, if anyone really is in a pickle driving there's also the train... I wouldn't mind picking someone up. But I don't know if they're equally affected by snow or not. A better bet might be driving Saturday morning if it's passed through, or trying to beat the worst on Friday... or waiting till it's cleared Friday. All depends on when it's hitting!

At the least, the rest of the weekend seems to be clear...

As per the weather I am sitting and hopping but like I always say better safe then sorry. If when I wake up tomorrow and theirs no snow then I will kick off the morning drive, if their is then I will hop on the phone and cancel my reservation.

Work :( it seems my phone is never off for long as I just spent the last 40 some odd minutes talking with some people about plans for the Boston Brawl, and now I am sending out emails to my employees and sculptors about our product lines.....ooo and my coffee pot is always near bye_.
