Now, most companies wouldn't dare offer a job-specific discount on their products.

In the US these kinds of discounts are commonplace. Car dealers habitually offer $500 off for military members. They also offer discounts to university students. You can get discounts on hotels, rental cars or other travel services based on your choice of insurance companies. The American Automobile Association membership comes with all kinds of discounts from associated businesses. The AARP gets discounts on practically everything. It's ageism I tell you. Better get the mounties right on it. In fact you need to get your website up and running soonest. Maybe battlefoamsucks.com is still available.

I know you are trolling but I'll bite.

I never said Battle Foam sucks, it's probably the best foam out there (and you pay for that), I simply do not condone the practices of it's owner and spokesperson who discriminates people based on their opinions or issues and seems to be all out to eliminate competition, but that's just not clear yet. It is the same as me not buying Apple or Microsoft products for their conduct towards customer/other companies. Should Romeo provides excuses for how he treated some customers and potential customers and I might even buy one of his bags + foam. The foam wars is a topic of faith, you believe what you will, but how he reacted towards criticism is not.

BTW I stated that I didn't know how it was around the world about discounts to target groups.

EDIT: I forgot a "the"

I didn't read this whole thread because it started to look like a flame fest but if I ever paint my army, and this applies to members of the Canadian Forces, I will certainly be buying my cases/foam from them!

People are allowed to make mistakes. However, to quote Ian Fleming, once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action.

Honestly what Romeo did was WAY out of line. what he did would be like McDonald's suing burger king because the double stacker is eerily similar to a bigmac.

Now i love the product and plan to make further future BF purchases (I bought a 1520 to hold my entire IG army) but i must admit, the bag is overpriced but the foam itself fething rocks.

what are you talking about willis?

If say BK has a patent to build their burgers the way they like and the possibility exists that McNeds may, or may not, build their own burger in the exact same way but with no patent, it is well within BK´s rights to let McNeds know that theyre steppin on unfriendly turf.

Nothing else happened, no one got shot, no babies were sacrificed, not seals clubed, even the bag of rice is still standing.
The only thing anyone could possibly hold against Romeo is poor choice of words.

No, it's not "childish". Children lack the capacity. When was the last time you saw a five-year-old calling for a boycott of McDonalds because his Coke was warm?

It's the poster's right to stage a boycott of Battlefoam, insofar this forum allows for such expressions of controversial speech. Until such a time as we're not allowed to criticize companies and their products, naturally, and as long as he doesn't break any current forum rules (he's coming awfully close with the current hijacking, I grant you). If you don't like it, tough.

Hell, I disagree with his actions, but he's still entitled to them.

Forgiveness is a privilege, not a right.

Back on topic, I think it's a great discount.

Yeah. My fat honkin' check from Battlefoam just cleared (hello new car!), so I'm going to lock this thread.

I mean, I'm going to lock this thread because it's been dragged off-topic into another Foam Skirmish.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1
