Same here. Bought two of them.

They come with two sheets of egg crate foam on top and then under that there is a layer of about 1.5" thick pick & pluck foam. With two of them I can easily fit 10 Crisis Suits, 20 Kroot, 10 Hounds, 6 Fire Warriors, 8 Pathfinders, 3 Broadsides, 4 Piranhas, 2 Hammerheads and a Devilfish. 2000 points of Tau securely stored in 2 $10 cases

Now for a more heavily mech army it might be a bit small (my 2000pt Eldar with 7 Grav Tanks takes up a lot of space).

The cardboard case is a multi-case.

The Kaiser case hold multi-cases.

The aluminium cases do not hold multi-cases, they hold the same foam as the multi-cases.

For value for money you won't beat a rifle case. This one cost me £25 but they're much cheaper in the states. You can get most 2000point armies in a case like this.

Infantry fit fine in eggbox foam. I've had a variety of 2K point armies in that particular case.

If you email them with your list of models they will be able to recomend the best set of trays to fit everything.

I use bed foam (that foam you put on your mattress) that I cut to size and place my models in layers with the foam in a plastic box.
its cheap and it works.

ArbitorIan wrote:As other have said, KR are great at £22 per card case including shipping, and you get your choice of foam loadout. They hold an awful lot more than a GW case. Plus, they're based in the UK. I'm not sure if you have as much choice when you order from other retailers, but if you order off the KR site you can pick a custom loadout of foam for only your army.

+5 billion!

KR Multicases are really good indeed, I have several, and despite the objections from some quarters at them being card, it is thick and solid and will last for many a year. If you're anyway arty you can decorate the box too.

They travel well too and have built in carry handles. The foam is good and can hold a lot of models with a lot of choices for foam tray options, especially if you go for a tray with pick and pluck, you can customise for any load.

If I am not in my room, is it still my room?

*Wonders where Scott-S6 keeps his rifles...*

Seriously, I went to Bunnings (dont know what the Tradesman/Home DIY warehouse is in UK) and bought a metal briefcase-style toolbox. Lined it with custom foam from Clark Rubber (Mattress specialists) and viola!

Welcome to Fantasy 40k

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.

Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.

Plano makes a 4 pistol case that runs about $16.00. They used to be 8-10 grrr.

But you can put a whole army in them.

Naturally it depends on what your carring. I have put three drop pods, one LR, two speeders, 1 dread and about 20 SM in a single case. I have two cases to hold my 120 odd orks (plus vehicles). My Tau have two hammerheads, two devilfish, two pirahna, three crisis suits, 6 stealth suits, two broadsides, 20 ish kroot/hounds and 35 ish firewarriors all in one box. its pretty crowded in there, but they do fit.

See pics of my Orks, Tau, Emperor's Children, Necrons, Space Wolves, and Dark Eldar here:

You just have to look on that website then find the equivalent on this website(if you live outside of Europe):
