As I recall, the big meks works because it says it does, other models with similar rules (techmarines? I am going to look) cannot do the same thing. Also it would allow embarked models to engage models in base contact with their transport, no?

Well if it states that then nvm haha. All i remember it saying was the mek could fix vehicles on a 4 plus. If it was in base contact.

Yea, I looked. Big Meks tools (Ork page 34) specify "inside (or in base contact with)" whereas the other similar rules only state "in base contact with".

After reading all this, I would say nothing in the rules says you can't target embarked models...however I agree it is a dangerous practice. Yes, the models are inside the transport and thus should be targetable if no LOS is required...but then what about other powers...like Aura of Decay? Aura of Decay hits all models within 6 inches, regardless of LOS or cover...does that mean that it strikes all embarked models if it is next to a vehicle? And I am sure there are other similar powers that would also be affected by such a ruling. So in other words, you should be able to, but by doing so we are opening up a huge can o' worms!

Totally unrelated, but I am very much inclined to say "BOOM" each time this ability is used after this thread.
Not quite a fzorgle, but it will have to do.
