Power dice being static at 2d6 means you should really only go with one magic-using army- learned this the hard way playing my LM w/ a HE ally.

Dwarves and any heavy magic army is a decent combo, as all the dice will be going to not the Dwarves.

HE + Dwarves would be sickening on magic and shooting, and you can still do combat as you need.

HE+Empire would be a horrific gunline, both magic and war machine.

HE and Dwarves would be hell to go up against. I don't think HE and Empire would be as bad - besides, for me my army is talor made to deal with those two armies specificly. Gunlines have their weaknessess, and I would care more about the HE in most situations than Empire.

Oh man, Dwarf artillery and High Elf magic for range, then Dwarf infantry with High Elf buffs magic up close? Tasty...

Exactly what i was thinking. Already resilient troops, especially with stubborn / 1D6 Ld test tricks with HE magic buffs could be nasty.
