my little book shows a 90 degree arc... i have it open in front of me...oh well, i dont feel like getting in a fight after being a member for less than 3 days...maybe our books were printed at different times, mines from when blackreach first came out, maybe they caught the mistake since then

No it doesn't. I have the small rulebook open in front of me and nowhere does it say anything at all about a 90 degree arc. Those words are literally not in this book. It says 45 degrees, just like the big rulebook. The picture even shows a 45 degree arc. There is no reason whatsoever for confusion - it couldn't possibly be more clear.

Well, the rules are 100% clear, but could be a bit better.

1) They could do a better description of what a "45 degree arc" means. This can be easily misinterpreted by non-math people. All it would take is to add a ", which means this can fire up to 22.5 degrees to either side from straight ahead".

2) They also could have made it clearer by making the models physically only capable of moving their guns in that 45 degree arc.

But, yes, the rules have no ambiguities here.

(On a side note, is anyone else out there always thinking: "45 degrees? Why couldn't they just simplify it by using radians?")

Okay. You need a new little rulebook.
