anyway when are their going to be more lore. I am basically a Tyranid when it comes to Lore.

Who's not a Tyranid for lore? In the latest Horus Heresy novel there where about 3 paraghaps (as far as I know, havn't finished it yet) about the lost primarchs and I nearly screamd cause I was so excited!

So the Mind Tearers is one of the original Legions? That's huge, and if they didn't lose a single marines during the heresey, the should number than the Black Templars, heck nearly double the amount (unless they lost alot of marines while they where in hiding). But I'm starting to wonder what GW plans for the lost Primarchs is, cause in The First Heretic, they're described as lost, and shall never be spoken of again (in a talk between 2 primarchs). So I'm wondering if they where destroyed or just banished.

Note that the Inquisition didn't excist as we know it during the Horus Heresy. It was created sometime after Isstavan V, and then it only consisted of 12 people, althought by the time the Last Day happend, who knows how many there where?
Anyway, some interesting lore you got, althought I'd prefer if you'd put the fluff like this: Pre-Heresy, Horus Heresy, Post Heresy, Current. Oh, and the rhino looks much better now.

I thought there were a few chapters that lost no one to Chaos, might need to change that.

Will re-title the fluff!

Glad you like it though, and my rhino

Oh, you meant Lost as in Lost to chaos. I thought you meant Lost as in Dead xP If that's what you meant it makes alot more sense considering your fluff.

I think I like it....I think the purple works for a chapter named the mind tearers. Somehow purple and light blue seem like they would be associated with cognizant power.....maybe thats just me....I look foward to some more painted models!

I really like your color scheme. In your first post you had 3 computer generated drawings of space marines with your color scheme, is there a program that does that or is there a place I can download those templates?

Paulguise:I'm thinking rapid strike. I'ver got some design for some custom Bikes they use, i'll upload the sketches in the next few mins

Element206: Yeah, lots of cultures use purple as a colour relating to the mind and spirits. Glad you like

You can choose from imperial froces or 'enemy' forces. then theres different painters and you can customize them, e.g. jump packs or power swords!!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Custom Mantis Bikes

This is an initial sketch for my 'Mantis' bikes. As you can see the front of the bike has a pointed ram. Great for tearing holes in enemy lines and also protection for the front tyre!
It's not much of a change but its just enough to distinguish them from ordinary bikes. A thin sheet of platicard and a lick of paint should do the trick.

Symbols

If you haven't noticed already the main Mind Tearers symbol is an eye. A different design to the chaos eye. Simple to paint.

I'm trying to think up other symbols for different units but all I have is this triangle/arrow for fast attack;

The key ideas for their symbols are, eyes, snakes, the number 3 (triangles) and telepathy.

Any ideas for other symbols?

Thoughts on bike design?

Yes, the do recall images of the soul drinkers, but there could be more then one legion with purple as a primary color. Weren't the Sons of Horus and space wolves primary color grey?

whalemusic360 That's really helpful, i'll have a good read. I thought of the number 3 because their tactics were founded by 'The first three'. But this looks really good.

Matrim I was a little worried about Soul Drinkers but i haven't used any gold. The color I use for metallics is usually a tone of silver. I will try and avoid any symbols or icons similar to the Soul Drinkers.

paulguise Thanks for that, I wasn't aware, that helps explain how they can be similar colors nicely.

Imperial Monkey I was wondering how I could incorporate their psychic obsession into gaming and a few Eldar rules would work nicely. I was also thinking about using the Space Wolves codex for rules as they are probably the most detached space marines still serving the imperium.

England..

Really really nice start for the chapter...

Loved the little intro fluff for the chapter and the insignia and colour scheme works really well..

I think your right and going with the SW codex is probably your best bet, for the stuff you want..

Im also creating my own SM chapter if you get time check it out, the link is in my Sig bar...

Great work i will be subscribing..

Hey folks, sorry theres been no updates ina while but college took over for a bit.

I've got a lot of pretty things to look at now and a few more lore updates.

Terminators
Here are some of my newly panted Terminators, including a very scary Chaplin.

Scouts
This is a trial for my scout colour scheme. Any thoughts? I think the cloth might look to fleshy and I will probably make the next batch white clothed.

Bikes
This is another painting trial, i'm pretty happy with it. My next plan for bikes is to make some 'Mantis' Bikes as shown in a doodle in a previous post.

Dreadnought

This is my dreadnought. I added a frill of spikes around the body and arms. Older gamers at my local GW have mistaken this for a Chaos Dreadnought and younger players have asked why the spines face backwards.
I wanted to make the spines look like the crest on some species of lizard, where the spines and crests are used to intimidate rather than fight with.

Finally I have another doodle for you showing an idea for my banner. In a previous post I wrote some long detailed lore for the chapter. One of the most tragic events in the chapters history was the 'Fall of Drasiedini' On this fateful day the chief librarian of the chapter lost control of his immense physic abilities and exploded in a ball o f telepathic and telekinetic energy killing several of his brothers and consequently losing the imperium's faith in their already controversial techniques.

This doodle shows Chief Librarian Drasiedini in his last moments as his is wrenched into the air screaming whilst deadly physic energy poisons himself and all those around him.

I want to recreate a simlair and much smaller version of this for the banner with some inspiring words about fighting for fallen brothers enscribed around the banners edge.

Until Next time.......
