Try it again with no mention of Cory Doctorow and the answer is still Cory Doctorow.

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

I put in a Shakespeare excerpt and got James Cooper. Fair enough. I put in an entire passage and it was still James Cooper.

It kept happening until I realised that by chance I was only putting in lines from female characters, with the exception of Gonerill, who actually came up 'William Shakespeare'.

To test the point, I quoted Lear and... oh, Lovecraft. Nevermind.

I got David Foster Wallace for this wonderful piece of off the cuff literature:

Cats frustrate me to no end. Their hair ends up all over the floor without much effort at all; how do the little buggers keep from going bald? They demand attention in the most annoying of ways; an ill-timed "mew," a paw to the leg when sleeping or an aerial assault from the top of the couch are hardly unheard of. What is it that they contribute?
It's not entirely horrible to live with cats. They can be of amusement with a dose of cat nip or periodically perform something "cute." One of my favorite feline activities is putting a spot of hot sauce on one's coat; with licking being the primary method cleaning, the results are usually quite entertaining. All cats should die nonetheless.

Worship me.

All I have on this piece or trash at work is a set up background for something I'm working on over at Warp Watchers and it says thats written in the style of Jonathan Swift.

No idea who that is.

edit - just remembered I have a short 40K story over at Warp Watchers, hmm Douglas Adams eh? I wonder why it made that connection, so If I post a short story with Elves in it, I'll be Tolklien... lawl.

I threw in three different chapters of the novel I'm working on and it came up Douglas Adams. Which, thinking back on it, actually makes a lot of sense.

Mario Puzo wrote the novel "The Godfather"...well,he wrote other books, but I believe that is his best known work.

Happy to be of assistance.

I'm slightly concerned about taking this "test"... I have a feeling I'll get Dr. Seuss.
