You failed.
Hard.
Seriously, just quit while you're behind.
Actually I was told that in my LGS.
By one of the red shirts. I ignored my sig.
Now I am sad..... Remember Kids Don't listen to a red shirt or a black shirt ever when talking about lore. As this one time a black shirt once told me that Macaldor is still alive.... Even though he burned away.
Anyway Orks are decesended form Kroks. A guriellia like species. The Kroks are known for making digital weapons if i can remember correctly.
But yes Orks sound like Scots. As they both swear alot, use the word git. I'm talking about language. Not Looks.
No The only people that I think are close to looking like Orcs are potheads.
Well anyway I miss alot of guard armies. Like the Vallhans, the Zulu, The Paeterioans
I've never, EVER heard or read of orks using a scots dialect. Some proof please if you've seen otherwise. Plus don't believe everything black/red-shirts say. Just because they work for GW doesn't mean they are infallible in the games fluff.. sadly.

Oh ok. I was thinking kroks. As kroks act just like the Engineers that the orcs have. As they both can make weapons out of anything... Also I nolonger believe red shirts/ black shirts after my agruement about the primarchs, chaos gods, and the Ultramarines being complete dumbasses/traitors.

hence why I said "after the Old Ones disappeared." Can't vouch for them before that point. However, I remember there being fluff in the Necron codex about the nature of the Krorks, and that they were "hardy and green skinned."

Yeah but scots do slurl their words, just like Aussies, and Canadians. Scots use other words. And In my mind they sound very the similar. Yeah I failed there. heres a quote Orks first appeared in the Rogue Trader rulebook and the Space Orks boxed set, containing eighteen metal models. These Orks were squat, powerfully muscled humanoids, wielding crude ballistic weaponry (usually blackpowder or other explosive projectile-based equivalent) and large "stikkbombz" or stick grenades. They also wore helmets and other paraphernalia, and the model range was reminiscent of German equipment from World War I. Additional rules, cultural details, and painting guidelines were given in the later expansions Waaargh! the Orks, 'Ere We Go! and Freebooterz (the first being a fluff-only background volume with some painting guide hints, the second and third providing detailed army lists for each major orkish klan as well for a host of colorful and bizarre collection of mercenary orkish units, from ork space pirates to renegade chaos worshippers, from motor-addicted speed freekz to ork-genestealer hybrids). An explanation for the combination of brutal stupidity with relatively high technology was now found: Orks had been created, in times long past, as a warrior race by the long-vanished Brain Boyz. The current Codex: Orks was released at the tail-end of 4th Edition, on the 12th of January 2008.[1]. Despite the release date, most players view the Codex (alongside Codex: Chaos Daemons) as having been written with 5th Edition in mind. The Codex was accompanied by the release of a number of new models for the Ork range, including redesigned Trukks and Warbikes. The Codex also added units and equipment to the Ork army, many of which had been featured in the 2nd edition and removed for the 3rd. This includes the Shokk Attack Gun and the Weirdboy.

Yeah that's called an accent and everybody has it. I'll be honest the scottish accent doesn't sound like the orks one neither does thye Irish accent or the Welsh accent if i had to place it in Britain it would be Northern England, Manchester or somewhere

Most likely their cuisine, i still cannot get myself to eat scotish food, like black pudding.

No I'm talking about your food XD Yeah. I've tried lots of different foods in my time. 5 years of different food tasting. (my favorite was the thai ) The one that is the bottom of my list was british food, mostly Scottish. Like black pudding. Which is basically a scab.....

The accent I think you're thinking of is Cockney, if you read a lot of the Ork object names with a cockney accent, they sound exactly how one would probounce them. Deffkopta being the easiest one that comes to mind - Death Copter.

Yeah But WW2 was god like.
Except for the french (no offense.)
But Yeah scots were great in the World Wars as some of them were paratroopers and they were basically our equalvent of Arnolds - steriods.
And they were smart. But everyone agrees with me that Guardsmen are basically Americans and Aussies right?

I'm dropping the schedule. That was my image of the Orcs. Inventive, and Scares the :beep: out of the Brits.
And not only that but If the scots combined when the brits invaded they would of been unstoppable.
I'm just saying this because I am a complete history nerd.
The Scots had a very inventive way of getting rid of the brits. Most likely their cuisine, i still cannot get myself to eat scotish food, like black pudding.
You keep saying Brits.
At that point Britain was probably just England and bits of Wales.
And bits and pieces of Ireland. Depending on which invasion your talking about. But yes "Britain" is a term only being used since the end of the 1600s. Before then it was the commonwealth or England if it was conquered by it.

Northern Ireland is in the UK whereas Wales and Scotland is in Britain.
To be honest it's all very complex. Automatically Appended Next Post: And if it's the 1600's they weren't particularly xenophobic they just invaded/colonised things left right and centre. Australia for instance.

It's a bit anachronistic to call 'em xenophobic back then. After all, pretty much every European nation was like that. Times change, however, and here we are.

Eh what ever. England Back then were a bunch of Jerks that they believed in a Xenophobic regime as they believed all europeans were the higher race. And it continued until WW1 At least i'm not calling Brits, Limeys.
At that point i don't think they cared about other people just power for themselves and religion probably. What time period are you talking about?
Well, they were xenophobic of everyone. And yeah. The Middle, Renassiance Periods were basically all xenophobic after the plague. But yeah its understandable.
