I'm glad that they made vehicles a little tougher against shooting in 5th ed, but I really miss how in 4th ed almost ANY penetration roll included "+ crew stunned" at the end. The idea of scoring a penetrating hit against a vehicle, and the vehicle can still drive around guns ablazing almost as if nothing had happened to them has never sat quite right with me.

Plus, it's part of the reason we have mech spam. Yes, back in the day when you had to disembark on ANY penetrating hit was kind of silly, but they should now at least take stunned results so that transports can't just shrug off demolisher cannons some times.

Hi Grakmar.
I realise I didnt explain the idea very well.
Having mobility points allows us to define a vehicles 'robustness' in an easier way.

Eg
'Heavy' vehicles may have 3 mobility points to show how resistant to damage they are.

'Meduim' vehicles may have 2 mobility points .

'Light' vehicles may have only 1 mobility point.

The vehicle looses its movement in proportion to its mobility structure points.

EG
Land Raider (3 Msp)6" then 4" then 2 " then immobilised.

Ork Trukk (2 Msp) 12" then 6 " then immobilised.

Land speeder(1 Msp) 12" then immobilised.

How many structure points are allocated to each vehicle would be decided by people with more experiance of 40k than me.

Do you follow the logic of using the AV to modify the (str+ pen dice ) to get the damage inflicted on the structure of the vehicle behind the armour?

Is there anything else I could clarify ?

TTFN
