I swear to god they aren't selling it in the actual stores on shelf because they're afraid word will get out they're pawning off old 5th ed lizardmen.

Oxyotl should be more wiry, leaner, looking stealthier like the new skink chameleon only maybe on a cool jungle base or in a cool crouching position like his army book picture. He looks like an f'n aliens parody with his big head.

Every night I make a fervent prayer that if Juan Diaz is back sculpting for GW with the new Lileth model, they will find some way to make his daemonettes available again. I want to believe they were discontinued because of some strange employment contract issue, and not because some horrible penny-counter in a suit thought that they could get rid of some of GW's best models and replace them with a lackluster plastic kit. There was a suggestion that they were discontinued at such high speed due to GW's foray into China and the extremely careful balancing act foreign companies have to play there to avoid some random 'local party representative' taking um-bridge at their lewd or malign influence and GW getting booted back out again. Blizzard had to completely rework their death icons in WoW to enable it to be distributed in China.

It would certainly explain the very closed attitude I got when I tried to get some a couple months after they were pulled from the shelves, when I pointed out I could still get ghouls that had been discontinued about 10 years ago...

This is why GW hates vets. He'll go back home to TN and say, "Gee whiz that non-12 year old just right darn knew they warn't new models!" Seriously, delusional. He doesn't realize we could have continued to talk, i.e. him spout his sales pitch, had he not started the conversation with the lie of "new" as the focal point. Or even acknowledged they weren't really new.

I actually like the old skink command. That said, they are TOTALLY out of scale with the current ones, with very different body proportions, and would look really out of place in a ranked regiment. Sketchy!

It's possible, but then if the imagery of the models was the problem why are the harpies still around?

I kinda like the Oxyotl model. But I think it's silly that they had to make him as old as Chaos on Earth. Why can't he just be a really good hunter? Are relatable characters not GRIMDARK enough?
