The main thing with the 4_ is, if your opponent is choosing sides, they then have the: what if they sieze? issue but much harder.

For guard, who are wanting to get first turn to generaly remove your squads, they have to choose to risk not getting first turn on a 50:50. Or, they could reserve stuff / hide behind cover, meaning even if you are still going second hte guard player will have less firepower (will have to move, etc).

Its neat because of the psychology behind it.

It's also neat because you go first 2/3 of the time.

Build a fire for a man and he will be warm for a day; set a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life.
