So what would you consider in your own words using non-specific language the average American would use to describe Muslim clothing. Maybe that can put into perspective what an American would consider a Muslim. Someone who follows the teachings of the Prophet Mohammed(Peace be on Him), I'd imagine. And a person who dresses in Muslim clothing is...? Fashionable? EDIT: I think that we are thinking too hard on trying to define Muslim clothing. We know what he meant (or do we?) and we know what his context is (or do we?) about his remarks about Muslim clothing (or do we?).

OK lets try to "help" dogma here since he insists on being hardheaded....
Muslim garb
Hindu garb
Hassidic Jewish garb
Amish garb
Roman Catholic garb
So we can see that if someone wants to express their faith they can do so by wearing certain "garb".
Therefore using the term "muslim garb" isn't ignorant or even inappropriate.

You're making a point, but not making a distinction between clergymen wearing ceremonial dress and general followers of their respective religions...

Perception is one of those damned traits of humans where we see and we interpret.
I think the point is is that dogma wanted a more contextual statement rather than a generic assumption, as he is prone to pointing out a flaw or misinterpretation of a word or idea to show that using that word or idea in the context of a discussion could change that debate or mislead others who are technical into believing they are speaking about something else. At worst, it destroys the argument and breaks it down as the confusion reigns supreme and runs rampant over the following conversations that could of been had.

Yeah he got fired for being a dumb ass. Replace some words Muslim with black, garb with baggy pants, and plane with gas station. And people would be up his ass for sure. As a Black person you'd think he'd know better.

And whilst you're pointing and shouting at the boogeyman in the corner, you're missing the burglar coming in through the window.
Well, Duh! Because they had a giant Mining ship. If you had a giant mining ship you would drill holes in everything too, before you'd destory it with a black hole |
