Indeed, there's a reason Orks coined the phrase "more dakka".

Because you can never have enough.

Overkill? Pshaw. I just call that Tuesday.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Thanks, now I have to learn to paint them, it'll be a little difficult seeing as I am a new player and my painting skill isn't that great.

IG is a great army, but not an easy army to start.

I can atest to this, I started out with IG and had a lot of trouble at first when starting them and I lost my first 10 games or so getting used to them ( only in the last few weeks have I started winning some). They are also a daugnting army to start, with all the tanks and transports to buy, it took me a long time just to get up to 1000 pts., and I have already paid around $350 for my current IG list of 1500 pts; and still have some of the more expensive models to buy to get it up to 2000 pt. (valkeys and a number of chimeras ) with orks you can use many things for the tanks. (like cheap model kits if you are good at converting)

but once you get used to them they are a fun army to play ( if you like shotting things to pieces and having the best tanks ) and they are one of the easiest to make new fluff for ( made up a planet for my regiment and I am working on the history) I would sugest to have them as a second army if you wanted to make a IG army

Good luck with the orks but just so you know you could also go with nids cause they essentially run up and maul people's faces in

Sigg'd.

Anyway, i can't really say anything that hasn't been said already; go with your gut. I am a terrible magpie and have mucked around with ideas for loads of different armies, from Saim-Hann to Nidzilla, but always find myself drawn back to my spiky Chaos boys (and, potentially, Necrons in the not too distant future). If Orks are the army that really speaks to you, then go with Orks.

Begginning on ig would be tough, their expensive, and its hard to watch your infantry die and remember your winning.

Sadly, as cliche as it is, space marines are an excellent starter army.

Well I got a great deal on a set of almost 200 CSM models from a friend. I took the opportunity and bought them. Looks like I will be starting with a SM army.
