It's also pretty important to remember that the release models aren't actually "reduced scale" the release models are the scale for the game and the promos are just that, promos. Sort of like my Dire Troll Extreme, whom I love intensely for his big meaty fist awesomeness.

This game apparently is the killer app for involving wives in tabletop wargaming.

Its a pretty dramatic departure from the rest of the ranges Warlord carry.

They've arrived! They're so cute!

Painting them should prove interesting. The masterful artwork of Soda Pop's painter (sorry, don't know the name ) hides the faded detailing on some of the ornamental aspects of the minis. Things like the mage's robe runes and the archer's tunic details are a bit tough to pick out on the bare metal and may be even more so once primed. That being said, other aspects of these little guys are beautifully sculpted, especially in places you don't typically look such as the crevices of the paladin's armor and the dwarf's belt.

I wonder if Soda Pop would be so kind as to provide multi-angle close-up shots of their studio painted promo figures as a reference guide to people like me?

Just got mine as well. They look good and simple to assemble.

If I didn't have a Warmachine tournament to finish painting for, I would work on them immediately.

Though I have to contact them. They sent me a second Paladin instead of a Kobold Warrior.
Don't know how that is going to work out with them being limited and all.

Can't wait for the Demo rules to get posted and for the skeletons to be out.
