If you're just playing at Hobbytown, you're playing in the minor leagues of the hobby. As someone who played there loyally every sunday for over 4 years, I can tell you that it really is the worst possible store you could support. The staff there really could care less about the tabletop gamer community after management changes that went down years ago. Time Warp and other stores are like heaven by comparison.

This is 100% true while hobby town does sort of suck the events are suprisingly good, there is one comming up this month, though no exact date has been established yet.

Sihamoni takes great pride in the league he helped create, as was conveyed in his recent advertising campaign for the CMFL that stated his midgets will "... take on anything; man, beast, or machine."

I think JSHC has one coming up next month, nothing big, but I am pretty sure they have a 1500 pts tournament.

Most of the stores run tournements quite frequently.

The Colonial GT is the biggest on I can think of in the next few months. After that you have the various hard boyz, and there is going to be a GT at the Warstore Weekend this year.

We try to run a RTT sized event every couple of months at Mighty Titans. We just had one this past weekend on the 26th. The next one will most likely be in early May but it's not finalized.

I know there are other small events around at the other stores as well but I'm not familiar with their schedules.

Maplewood Hobby is hosting a tournament on March 12th for 40k. 2000 pts. Not sure the exact time but the website has it.

The event at Maplewood is a team tournament, two person teams, 1000 points each. The store will have event details this weekend for distribution.

Gamer's Gambit in Fairlawn
TimeWarp Comics in Cedar Grove
Maplewood Hobby in Maplewood
-Each of these stores runs 40k tournaments on a regular basis, many through NJ Gamer.

They vary in size and requirements. As a community, NJ Gamer tries to run events suited for different gamers, some are tough as nails 'Ard Boyz style, and others are 55% theme bases where having fun and being a hobbyist is more important than your final game scores.

If you check out the calendar on njgamer.org, we try to keep up with posting events on our calendar for our support stores, sadly, we can't always keep up, but we try.

Last week, a 40k Planetary Empires campaign started at TimeWarp, primarily being run on Thursday nights. Stop by and join in. It's designed to be incredibly flexible, so if you can't make it one week, that's not a problem. Ask for Alex, he's the lead on this.

Do you guys ever venture to JSHC? I have been looking for a group to play with in the area (around JSHC).
