I'd like to see a line of customizable industrial gantries, silos, elevated walkways, platforms, girders, etc. similar in concept to the old GW Necromunda bulkheads:

1. stackable
2. panels of various sizes/design
3. sturdy looking
4. lots of rivets, etc.

I find the Pegasus stuff too flimsy and fiddly.

buildings which are sci-fi gothic and will fit in with the rest of the terrain gw sells, also buildings that are large like hangers for aircraft, fortified gothic office style buildings, ones without backs that can be put on the edge of the board that people can easily move troops up and down in would be ace although leave enough room for hands and stay away from sharp edges as GW have a huge cityfight board at warhammer world and it will cut you up playing on it:( . Trenches and fortifications are always good too. I found though avoid vacuume forming stuff if feels cheap and the detail sucks, actually get it molded. Unpainted is better usually or if the building is painted, no base so it fits on any table.

Actually those kits are the ones I find too fiddly and spindly looking for actual structures (though I like the chemical plant for use in detailing/pipe work on models and terrain pieces)

I don't want to have to use 35 pieces to build a 6" walkway, etc.

I'd like to see kits with larger components similar to their "Techno Bridge" (smaller number of larger component pieces that snap-fit sturdily )but useful for making towers, elevated walkways, platforms, industrial structures, large bridges, landing pads etc.

Imagine railings and decking similar in design to the techno bridge but with girders/pylons to hold it up similar to the legs on the Aegis landing pad, etc.

That was the beauty of the old GW Necro bulkheads, they stayed together without glue and had good variety/detail:

Gotta disagree. Even if we put the IP issues aside you have this equasion (note, SCIENCE).

Wargamers>40k players>40k Eldar players>40k Eldar players who know of your product, are interested, and will pay your price

Generic modern or near-past terrain can be good for all sorts of eras, all sorts of games and there really is not all that much out there.

Sure the guy who makes Eldar towers or Tau colonies will have the market to himself but it's a tiny little sliver of the potential market.

I can't say I agree.
Sci Fi terrain is sci fi terrain. Anyone playing sci fi wargames who wants "alien" buildings would be able to use Eldar, Dark Eldar, Tau, etc. themed terrain.
Moreso, if they aren't playing 40K, they don't need to worry about which terrain they're using. There's no need to worry that Dark Eldar towers shouldn't be used with tau barracks (from a fluff standpoint), since there's no in-game affilliation with any specific army. So, they would be able to get even wider usage from a range of building types than the "target" market.

+ 1 with a bullet.

Want a tip? Go for the resin types that Armourcast used to make and continue that sort of thinking.

Trenchlines, generators, fuel tanks, fortifications, ect.ect.ect.

Some other ideas would be some easy to assemble wall and city scape, Modern and Post Apocalyptic.
I play Super hero mini games, and there arn't enough just basic buildings with normal looking stuff that you don't have to scratchbuild.
