I think you might be re-inventing British cuisine. Either that or KFC will get a hold of the idea and call it the "Canadian Heat-Attack" sandwich.

There is no British Cuisine, we just eat everyone elses food and occasionally fish and chips.
Nonetheless, don't say that KFC idea aloud! They may see the idea. Seriously, I'm expecting that to appear in an advert any second...

I have to imagine, after reading this thread, that Domino's is very different in Canada. There are to many positive things being said about it beyond "well, it is technically still pizza and it is cheap". Of course this is also poutine (french fries covered in curdled cheese and smothered in brown gravy) country we are talking about.

Exactly, hence the Empire. We wanted Tea and Curry, and knew just how to get it. Chinese was just a little unexpected perk.

Hmmm. Good point. I think they skipped that reasoning in History, but it all makes sense...

Oh yes, how could I forget poutine when talking about Canadian cuisine one of Canada's most infamous dishes. Fries, cheese curds and gravy mmmmm...

Really? That's actually way truer than you realise - the British Empire was founded on things like sugar (in a MASSIVE way, the west indies had something like twice the GDP of the Thirteen Colonies around the time of the revolutionary war), spices, Tea, Coffee...

Oil and stuff like that came later.

I was informed it was mainly about money rather than 'curry' and sugar, but two birds with one stone, eh?

Yes, it was about money. In fact, once people discovered that they could exchange money for it, the weekly free sugar deliveries started to dry up. Weird that.
