Nice work in here. Tortured robot and Ailaros in particular, excellent stuff

Always happy for an excuse to show off

I've converted all of my force, but most of it is small infantry stuff and head swaps. The more serious stuff is below.
CCS with Carapace

Astropath

Hydra, Russ and Chimera:

Executioner/Punisher

Vendetta

Storm troopers

And my most heavily converted guys, the Stalker class rough riders (currently being painted)

Love the rough riders, very original idea. What are the guns?

Ta. The guns are Hasslefree CAD guns. Really nice pieces. they have 2 bullpup designs of which these are the smaller and hence these are counts as laspistols with the longer wearpons as lasguns.

Flinty, that female astropath is really great! Do you mind sharing which model you used as a base? Seems like it is a fantasy model of some sort.

Im looking forward to seeing this thread grow, as i think IG are one of the most characterful and varied army in the 40k universe.

Those are some very cool weapons and please let us know when they are available. I'd love to use them.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

Thanks

What Lalabox said. Its the most clothed Lahmian vampire I could find with the teeth filed down and a GS blindfold added. I also thought that the staff made more sense than the weird snakey thing on the other foot vampire. The skull staff was modded with wings from the old Guard vehicle accessory sprue.

@Darkchild - wow. Those are absolutely superb! Thanks for sharing. How long did it take to model and paint each guy?

Thanks for the comments, i feel like im cheating by posting stuff thats so old but i thought it was worth contributing.

As for how long it took to do each mini, for the Afriels and special forces guys i would build one an evening, quite slowly. when the whole squad were done i would paint one every evening (i use modelling minis to relax so i do things very slowly).
In total i would say each trooper is about 6 hours work. most of that is waiting for green stuff to dry before starting the next part.

The assassin took considerably longer.

I'm a fan of your army, I've read most of your site, particularly enjoy your battle reports.

But my one complaint? Your Commissars shouldn't be the same ethnicity as your army; they're off-worlders ALWAYS.

Unless all three of them are coincidentally from an Arabic(?)-themed world?

Thought I'd give the whole 'Blogger' lark a go...

A few ogryn:

And a pair of SGT Harker conversions:

I'll stop there!

Again, great thread - I love these guard conversions.

Thanks! And yes, it's and old sentinel head with some of the old metal cadian bits. The new sentinels should make this even easier

Here are my Praetorian Special Forces (counts as stormies) and their transport. I used some resin helmets from TrooperPX, Kaybukia Pulse Rifles and for the turbo jets a GI Joe six sigma dragon hawk (it's missing a forgeworld punisher cannon under the nose) I've converted three valks for other storm trooper units for the apocalypse datasheet. Will have to do a bit of green stuffing, hand turning etc for the guns to fully fit all the poses but quite happy. Armour will be black, red shirts, blue legs.
