the leaf blower blew me over bad. Note to self Long range AT is needed haha. But ya Tau beat on orks in shooting but Snikrot saved the day kinda. Nob bikers just don't die. KFF battle wagons well they don't die either. Automatically Appended Next Post: And yes Mech Guard got first due to painting, Jetbike Eldar got very close second and a BA pred list got third.

Erik (spmusubi) came in first with Mech Guard
Adam (mortetvie) came in second with Saim Hann Eldar
Josh (I think) came in third with Blood Angels
I was sitting pretty after Round 1, only to go up against Josh in a modified KP mission and Erik's Guard in Round 3.
Overall I had 3 fun games against great opponents and look forward to their next tourney.
That was a good game nick. The KP mission did not favor you at all. That s*** was brutal.
Ya, I did end up in third. Adam spanked me for a little bit but we managed to pull it into a draw.

The Realm puts on really fun tournaments so I had a great time! Anyone that can go should!
By the way, it was IYANDEN jetbike eldar, forget Saim Hann; they are the backwater hics of the Eldar Empire!
Now to get my army fully painted so I don't get pushed out of first by painting scores =).

It was my first tournament, so I don't have much experience. But I can say the group down there was really great and I had a few very fun games (and one where my dice failed me and I got tabled by Orks in 5 turns, lol. ). I am looking forward to the next time. Hopefully with a bit more experience under my belt.

Nothing like a good thrashing though to make you think very hard about your tactica and deployment. Luck played its part, but I also over committed myself (partially due to the scenario, which did not favor me, that's for sure!) and forgot about burnas.

Despite the mission it was still a very fun and tactically challenging game. We got into quite a slug-fest towards the end there.

Saim Hann may be backwater hicks, but at least they can avoid those darn Tyranid invasions...

How did Blackmoor do?
I won my first game, then got paired up against Eric for round #2 in a KP mission and tied, but lost the tie-breaker of VPs, then had a minor win in game #3.

I was interested how it would've turned out if we didn't have the modified rules, but I didn't think to ask until you had your stuff packed up. I think it would've been close, but might have favored me by one or two, just from memory.
Also, ZING!

Blackmoor got me in Game 3 but only becuase Dok has instilled a life long hatered of Eldrad in me. Instead of charging and killing his last scoring squad with my demon prince I attempted to Lash in Eldrad and failed, so my Deamon Prince stood there like a chump and took lethal shots leaving his lone guardian squad on an objective uncontested. :(
Stupid Eldrad.... hate that guy so much.

I think Nick has it right. Had to leave after round one and let my employee finish the tourney.
Erick and Adam were off by only one point and Erick took the top spot with the bonus points for painting.
We'll change it up on the next one. (Less randomness on the scenarios) and probably give out prizes and/or points for Fav army and player.
Thanks again for coming out and playing. We'll switch it up to fantasy next month and have 40K again in January.
