While Imperial Fists are a codex adherent chapter, even to an exemplary degree, I don;t think they would simply ignore and the teachings of their primarch just because Guilliman wrote a book. Imperial Fists are renowned siege/defensive tacticians, and Lysander already demonstrates this by having the Bolster Defenses rule. I think Lysander making Devastators scoring would be an excellent idea, becaue it fits with fluff, and because Devastators are an under-utilized unit, in my experience.

but to make devastators a worth while choice, you'd have to take a ten man squad. as an objective holder, they're gonna be the centre of attention, sitting on that homebase objective, not moving and firing some big guns. Points wise, there are better units. I think Lysander is fine as he is when used as part of an Imperial Fist force, fluff wise any way. in gaming terms, with Lysander in the army, scoring devastators come with as many pro's as cons, they'll direct fire from your super hard charcater, but you can't take as may units that work in synergy with him.
