What torsos are you using for your conversions?

And is the one one the 1st land speeder/venom pic using the Dark elf warrior torso?

Very good workk and I will be watching.

Unbelievably my Forgeworld has arrived! Ordered on Saturday...received on Tuesday! Why I cant get US GW to deliver that quick I doubt I will ever know. The Thunderbolt came out with little to no defects in the mold...nothing a little hotwater can fix. I will probably have post assembly and a post painting for that model when the time comes (probably linked to another blog on putting it together and painting step by step.) The Imperial Eagle Icons are PIMP! Got them mounted on the raider and its ram (pics tonight) and Im going through my build list to see what else I can slap them on...yay!

The torsos and the hoplite(ish) helm are from http://www.microartstudio.com/

All the arms and legs are from the Dark Eldar Wyche Squad set.

The first land speeder/venom is the only one, the pictures that followed were the conversions I added to tie it in with the rest of the vehicles without a total overhaul.

Got some more pics to add tommorow but not until I finish the raider and venom. However, here is the shock prow (ram) that I will be using on my raiders.

More update goodness. Here is my first raider, its still in the paint stage but I wanted to show its progress and what the ram looks like attached.

Ahah! I thought I recognised the torsos. Thanks for the info and that ram looks awesome.

Looking pretty nice man. One thing I would suggest about the bolt pistol is to file down the remaining bits on the hand to the point the upper is resting right at the hand itself. You don't want the gun to be too tall, and having more of the mass at or below the level of the wrist will help balance it out. One problem with having a pistol that shoots shotgun slugs is resisting the temptation to make the entire weapon proportionately larger; remember that shotguns are not bigger than rifles in any part other than the barrel, and even that is not much larger either, and you will do well.

On my last two squads I will look at doing that, I have another squad painted so too late for them. i have finished painting the venom, another wyche squad and raider which I will try and post tonight. The next 250 points will showcase my conversion work on a beastmaster with 5x khymare and my second (and last) thunderbolt/razorwing that I will attempt airbrushing (at least the base coat).

Not that Im going to change anything but if anyone is interested in doing a sisters of silence theme army, head over to http://www.mywargame.com/2010/12/01/building-sisters-of-silence/

This looks fairly simple and probably cheaper if cost is an issue.

Wow sorry for lack of updates, end of the year has been extremely busy in the office. However, Ive got a few pictures I will be uploading tonight. Ive completed the next squad of wyches, another thunderbolt(voidraven), succubus and a bunch of clawed fiends. I will also try and squeeze in an army shot of painted and a larger one of all models.
