GK will probably hit somewhere between March-May, I don't see them pushing it further then that, especially if they want to release 3 codexes that year (which from the other rumor threads, seems to be the idea).

Now as far as the Storm Raven model/WD Article giving other SM chapters access to the Storm raven, take this with a grain of salt, but I hear that will be BEFORE the GK codex launch.

Subscribers just got an INC blood angels message for March, so we've got one marine release, idd say that seing how the Stormraven is coming out then I think that it'll be a shared GK-BA release, or at least sound something like this:

"Weve got some new BA models for you! But if you look closely theres GK bitz in the Stormraven kit!! On that note were announcing GK next month, enjoy" Or whatever.

That's why GW always checks Warseer and Dakka and why there are so many job opportunities as a new store manager!

LOLZ If he knows that info for anyone manager in toronto that total bs cause some of the managers over here were going to warseer and posted fake stuff when they were drunk. So no managers doesnt know anything these days and Im serious about it.

Sounds like BS to me. That would leave the whole first half of 2011 with 0 major releases. Sure, there will be more DE and BA stuff, but those are supporting releases not major releases. That would also mean 2, possibly 3, major codex releases in the second half of the year. This would be a dumb move, even for GW. It would also kill their 40k sales for the first half of the year. They know this, they also know if they dont keep the big stuff coming people are gonna spend their wad on other games from other companies.

Think about it...its GW we are talking about here. Its a sure thing that GK are coming out. Theres already major interest. Its a guarantee that they will release the marines first quarter, IE: Jan-Mar.

Won't believe it until I see pictures.

Why have I heard GK in December then? Weird. January sounds about right, with a storm raven after that, and then the DE second wave. And I hope it continues with summer being for fantasy.

Why have I heard GK in December then?

GW did actually try to get GK out by December this year, but it did not work out with too many delays in some part of the production schedule on at least some of the product. So, next year some time.

Pretty sure if GK were the December release, they'd have already said so and started teasing it in WD.

Grey Knights are pretty cool guy - he fights the xeno and doesn't afraid of anything - but I'm still holding out for Necrons. Although I might get more GK Terminators just because they were such kickass sculpts.

It's definately Skaven in January, in the December issue of WD the last page has it's usual INCOMING title with a lilttle line about them rising to terrorise the Old World. And we know about the BA in Feb, Stormraven etc, but further than that we can only really speculate. We know there are new DE models coming, but not a firm date when and although GK seem the lilely candidates again there is no hard and fast date yet.

But 100% Skaven in January and new BA models in Feb.

Agreed.

Simply look at it from a business prospective. You have 2 groups of releases...those that support a current line, aka supporting releases. Then there are Major releases, products or lines that are either totally new lines or major revamps of current ones.

Secondly business is measured and reported in quarters of the year, Jan-March, Apr-June, July-Sept, Oct-Dec. Expect a major release in each quarter, as this is where the money is...a new codex/army book and its first wave of products is a major release and draws the big spending, and carry the $$ for the quarter. Things like vehicles, squads, characters, etc are supporting releases, as they draw less $$.

Since Skaven and GK are the next releases for their respective games then expect them first quarter, likely late Jan to mid Feb. It gives people time to recover from holiday spending but leaves enough time to build good sales numbers for the quarter. Also taps into gift card useage.


With all the complaining about GW being company first, customers second, you would think people would look at their likely release schedule from the same prospective.
