I spoke to my GW store manager recently and he said that we are to expect a new Grey Knight force to come out around June next year (this will include codex, plastic GK and GK termi's, etc.). Not sure if this is old news or not, but thought you guys might be interested none the less.

Interesting, given that GW Managers aren't told such things (I should know, I technically was one for a few months this year).

But when I was working for GW (just a shop monkey, nowt special) this year (and some of last) I heard, and was told a few times, that a plastic Warhound was indeed underway.

@H.B.M.C. A few other threads are suggesting Blood Angels in February, also Dark Eldar second wave between then, all I can hazard a guess at.

Store manager = serious grain of salt. Redshirts/blackshirts know squat. That comes directly from the local store amanger here in Toronto. He reads the websites for better information than what they get at the store level.

Being told something is being worked on (without evidence shown I might add) is not being told it's coming out, when etc...

Perhaps GW as a company is taking a turn to its type of marketing. Look at all the hype built up over dark eldar, I haven't seen the results first hand but the people on these forums and others I read seemed to be in a frenzy to get DE stuff and I imagine the hype had a part to do with that.

On the topic of hype

Look at video games, every time a big shooter is about to come out, or in the works, those involved companies always release little tidbits about features or story information little by little to keep peoples' interest. A good example of a game that got a lot of hype and sold well was the latest medal of honor game. This game got tons of press and hype over the internet and it sold well despite being a crappy product.

Hype sells, GW has learned that. Telling their managers release information is a part of that movement.

That's not strictly true, a good Manager will not reveal anything to customers (friends or otherwise) before it is officially released anyway. And that's coming from someone who works for GW currently and has a manager who follows this exact ethic. So any manager who does give out little bit of information is either lying (and therefore not to be trusted) or a crap manager (and therefore not to be trusted).

We do find out stuff before it's released to the public, maybe not years in advance but definately beforehand. But whats the point in spoiling the surprise by leaking it to everyone before it appears? It just ruins the buzz around it when it is announced.

Any time they say "GW manager" I immediately think "oh here we go again".
