I changed the cover page pic. This isn't a vast improvement but hopefully slightly better.

Thanks, I like the new grot tanks more as well. I liked the old ones but they just didn't feel orky enough to me.

Not sure what is next. I have a load of commission stuff I have to get caught up on at this time.

I have not painted any of the orks with kromlech heads and great coats because I dont like the bare arms. I need to either make my own sleeves or wait for kromlech to release their sleeved arms.

Played in Astronomi-con this past weekend in Dallas. Had a great time. Great armies, great terrain and terrific missions. My little grots did very well for themselves racking up 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. Much better tha I would have guessed. But whats even better is I won best army! That's very cool as I put a lot of work into this army.

So here is an army pic minus the grot fighta becuase I forgot it.

Gratz on the win, and it's a very nice looking army indeed!

Well, its been a long time since I update this thread. I've recently got back to my beloved orks with the disappointing release known as the Astra Militarum Codex. I'm going to post of some semi recent purchases and then post up some recent models I've been working on. I've got a lot of different projects going on at the moment for the orks.

Kromlech Mega Orcs

Kromlech Clanking Behemoth - Love this model. It remind me of the original orks from the 80s. Big, goofy and full of stompy power.

Here's a shot next to a killer kan for scale

Some Kromlech heavily armoured orcs. These guys have bits of armor on their legs, and arms as well as their torso. You can buy the arms separately too if you want to make your own ard boys.

The Nob

Great coat officer - I have a whole slew of great coat orks I am working on at the moment. They make excellent blood axes

I've started painting some of my super heavies recently. We play a lot of apoc games so I figured it was high time I get some paint on my Kill Tanks.

Bad Moon Kill Blasta:

Paint in process of the kill busta

Here's a shot with the basic tank done. I still need to do the tracks and exhaust.

And a wee little buggy for the boys as well.

With all the orky Waaagh energy filling the ear my inner mek boy took over and I started building a Mek Boy Junka. It will be equipped with a Big Zappa and 2 KMB. The tracks are from Puppetswar.

And here's my terrible sketch of the junka

He returns with all the models I own but in an assembled state awesome stuff as usual Kill Blasta looks great the weathering is brilliant.

Now let me know the recipe for the exhausts and boiler engine the conversion all though early stage looks like it will be interesting once finished

I still need to do the lower turrets but I started doing some of the plating anyway because I was watching the telly and didn't want to get up to get more supplies.

I'd like to credit my wife with finding the lid I'm using as the top turret. I was looking all over the place for something and then she says how about this? I look at it and its the perfect size! Good job honey!

I really hate it when people put this much effort into their army... It makes all the work I do look pathetic

Great looking army, I really love that Maxmini tank. I didn't see it in their store, but by doing a search for 'maxmini tank' I found it.

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.
