I echo what has been said above.

And if he is a pro painter then surely he gets loads from commissions. I've seen sommission sites and the cost is high. (too high for me anyway). £20 odd quid should be nothing to him.

If he's a 'professional' painter and is still getting precious and falling out with you over £20, then he's a bloody rube and not worth your time.

£20 is the first round on a Friday night, not cause for being an arse, especially as has been stated that you left him with the models to look over as he liked. This isn't some wacky bait and switch mailed deal, this was face to face and he was given a fair deal.
