If you like Joss' writing, you will probably enjoy Buffy. It is at different times funny, surreal, and heart-wrenching. Eliza Dushku is not Buffy, although she IS another Vampire Slayer. Buffy is played by Sarah Michelle-Gellar.

Sometimes I enjoy Buffy, sometimes I can't fething stand it and it makes me want to gouge my eyes out and put them in a food processor. I haven't actually watched it for years.
For me, Joss Whedon writes like a precocious 14-year old girl. Sort of smart(ish), cocky, but emotionally immature. And none of his characters are even remotely believable as real people. I suppose that's to be expected, though...
