Eh from a thread I just read, alot of people don't let you play IA units. I doubt anyone I play against now would let me either.

And when would you be playing Apocalypse that DIDNT include "IA" units?
Every superheavy vehicle is an IA vehicle first and foremost, never mind the other cool stuff you can take such as drone flyers, heavy crisis suits and macharius vulcan tanks. If you dont allow Imperial Armour you are missing the entire point of Apocalypse, which is to take COOL MODELS and play with them!

I still have alot to learn and a store I used to go to held an apoc tourny over a weekend. I don't live near it anymore but the max points was 7k.

Well worth a buy, as it has some gorgeous artwork in it and is reasonably priced to boot!
And it has the current list of which books have the up-to-date rules for everything which is pretty much essential if you use IA units at all.
