It's all coming together really nicely. Well-presented tutorial, too. Is it going to be a realistic or alien flora-type garden?

Also, will there be a park bench?

Are you going to damage the statue a bit to help it blend in with the surrounding area?
Just a few chips out of here or there...or maybe knock the head of and have it laying near by?

I looks very nice. Maybe add a dying Space Marine or IG soldier. That would give it some more Character.

This, GW do sell a set of 3 (?) dying/dead marines in a blister. Would go nicely with the work you have done!

@Necroagogo - Thanks. It's going to be a realistic garden. Soil around where the blast crates are and grass where they aren't.

@Capt. Rex - The staue was already damaged, a bit. I've damaged it some more. I don't want to damage it too much as I've seen too many statues with their heads blown off.

@Tmonster & NoBaconz4You, I mainly play Eldar these days and space space marines (alive or dead) - I don't want to feature any more than they need to on my scenery. I know I may have a cheek with my last comment seeing it is a sixty feet high space marine statue however I want to keep the scenery neutral.

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

I like the idea that you're doing a garden. We see so much war-torn scenery in greys, browns and scorched blacks that it's easy to forget that there's such a thing as a flowerbed!

The craters are GW ones from way back when. I found them in the garage a while ago in an original plastic beaky space marine box.

I used them to save time.

The GW moonscape has some nice craters or you can use the ones from Amera: http://www.amera.co.uk/product.php?range=z

The gardens look great so far, can't wait to see them when they're done!
