Manchu wrote:The senseless killing of Ironhide, et al., in the '86 movie is more emotionally significant than anything that happened in either Bay movie. I'm not saying it was that much better, I'm saying they're that much worse--to me.
The death scene for Optimus is pretty emotional too.
Manchu wrote:As a fan of pre-Bay Transformers, what should I have taken from this trailer to be excited about?
Special effects and giant robots. You gotta admit that the giant robot fight scenes are pretty cool, its just that the movies are also infested with real people. YUCK!!!
It would be much better without the Bay shaky cam, he's awful at camerawork.

I watch the old shows on DVD now and again. I admit: I can only take so much at a time. But Transformers can be done better than Bay. IDW and War for Cybertron are two good examples that could sell a lot of toys with the ad budget of a Bay film.

Nothing. I just saved you a lot of time.
Crew cuts and slide rules baby.
-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

Don't take it personally. It's his style.
It's true. he's in love with himself and is an internet tough guy, but he means well and his heart is usually in the right place. Get past his flaws and he's a decent bloke.

I agree with manchu pre-bayfomers are better. Also my main gripe with the current transformers movies (other than it's not exactly true to the source material) is the crappy job they do on the action scenes, because our mind can only process 3
major details at once when there's rapid movement occurring. Every action scene I watch involving the highly detailed transformers just turns into indescribable, blurry images flashing at my face. The best Transformers movie still is the 1986
version, at least I can actually see the robots beating the crap out of each.

YES! Well spotted captain. Trying to figure out who that was, was really annoying me.
It appears I may have misidentified him, as a lot of other rumour mongering on other places points this to be Alpha Trion. I still think it's Wreck-Gar as the colours match...
