That seems like an extreme example, using one guy and one tourney. I would imagine most players don't have the patience or skill to bother with tournaments.

Plus I think the point is if you took two players with equal skill, one with crons and one with w/e else, the cron player would lose. In other words they are under powered.

I don't think necrons suck. the first 3 games I played I won 2 lost 1 (lost to Daemons with bloodcrusher spam and fateweaver :( )

I think its all about being rugged I use 2 necron lords with res orbs and 2 monoliths anything that can allow me to be harder to kill.
sweeping advances need to be avoided it hurts really bad when you run away and get trampled lol.

As a recently reconverted 'Cron player (I quit for 3 years out of frustration of nothing new on the way), I've found they have some nastiness if you really know how to play them. But then again, isn't that how all armies are?

The Nightbringer is fun to use, the Deceiver is a little more playable. I'd use Flayed Ones more often if they were a Core choice. Monoliths own. And nine times out of ten, my Scarab Swarms somehow win the game for me.

That said, we need more plastic. Lots of plastic....

I would even be fine with metals as long as they came in 5's like most other metal elite kits. I mean just about every necron sculpt looks pretty damn good, just way too expensive.

Wraiths and destroyers are pretty decent and you can build an okay army around them.

As stated above just sit back and wait for the new codex. Hopefully it will remove most of the nerfing.

I'm content to wait, I've just got all the stuff together to build my Thousand Sons, I couldn't handle the remourse if Necrons got their update now. Although I'd still be happy, I couldn't allow myself to spend more. That said, April-May seems most likely for the 'Cron update.

I'll forever be watching News & Rumours for "New Necron Codex announced/leaked" and my email for "Incoming! Necrons".

I would love to hear that necrons are the next army to get a codex after grey knights.

Then keep listening, because nothing's been announced or leaked. A few vague rumors got shot out like a year ago, but nothing regarding rules really, and no pictures. The guys at Forgeworld who sculpted the Tomb Stalker said not to look into it, and that it was just a one-off with no plans for more Necrons.
