My favorite paintjob of any army has to be Phil Kelly's Dark Eldar, which had a Halloween-esque paintjob going. It's what inspired me to forgo the typical GW quota of "I MUST LOOK AS MUTEDLY BADASS AS POSSIBLE!" and go for a garish venom green color for my DE. Honestly, I think it has more to do with the mentality most people carry about the 40k universe; everything is a more dingy, subdued tone. Personally, I think vibrant colors are much prettier on most xenos', and I like to think DE in particular are badass enough that they'll run into a fight with bright armour

There is a chapter in the space marines codex which i believe was mostly orange, with a lion as chapter symbol.
the Knights of Gryphonne, i think their name was.
